Darkness swallowed the road.
Y/N’s cheek burned where the slap had landed, a cruel reminder that she was at their mercy. Her breath trembled as she stared out the tinted windows, trying to make out any detail of where she was, trying to gather clues, a landmark — anything. But nothing looked familiar.
No shops.
No lights.
No people.
Just the dull hum of the tires against the road and the steady throb of pain in her ankle from the man’s earlier grip. The man in the passenger seat beside her leaned back, folding his arms behind his head, completely at ease — like he hadn’t just kidnapped a teenage girl in broad daylight. His eyes flickered to her now and then, watching her with a predator’s gaze. Unbothered. Cold.
She tried not to let her fear show.
But her shaking hands gave her away. The driver was silent. His face wasn’t visible behind his cap and collar pulled up high, but his hands on the wheel were steady, professional. Like this was just a job to him.
That made it worse.
This wasn’t random.
It was planned.
Organized. They knew where to find her.
They knew when she would be alone.
And they knew who she was.She thought of Taehyung.
Was he okay? Did he know? Would he come for her?
Or… had this happened because of him?Her thoughts spiraled.
What if he was in danger too? What if this was a warning for someone else entirely? She clenched her fists tightly in her lap to stop herself from trembling. She couldn't afford to break down. Not here. Not now.
"Where are you taking me?" she forced the words out, her voice barely above a whisper.
The man beside her chuckled, low and lazy. “Somewhere quiet.”
Her stomach twisted.
“You won’t get away with this,” she said, trying to sound braver than she felt. “People are going to notice I’m missing. My brother—he’ll find you.”
“Oh, I’m counting on that,” the man smirked, turning his head slightly. “That’s the point.”
Her heart sank.
This was about Taehyung.
She bit the inside of her cheek, forcing herself to stay still. No panic. No tears.
Just observe. Remember everything. Every turn. Every sound. They made another left — this time onto what looked like an old industrial path. Gravel kicked up beneath the tires. The air grew colder, like even the wind knew this place was cursed.
The car finally slowed, pulling in front of a massive, rotting warehouse.
Y/N's blood ran cold.
The man beside her straightened. "End of the road, sweetheart."
He leaned in and grabbed her by the arm. She jerked away instinctively — only to have him yank her forward so hard that pain shot up her shoulder.
"Let go!" she cried, struggling against his grip.
He leaned in, whispering against her ear, “You scream, I cut your tongue out. Got it?”
