Kanato I

(No lemons in this one...there will be warnings for future ones)
"What are you doing?"
You awoke to see the lavender-haired teen in your room. Did these vampires have no concept of personal space?
"(Y/N), I asked you a question..."
"S-sorry, Kanato-kun!" Shaking away your annoyance, you quickly sat up. "But couldn't you see that I was asleep?"
He glared at you, causing you to flinch. Did you say something wrong? I mean, you were asleep...anyone with two eyes could see that. So why did he look so mad?
"I called you and you didn't come," murmered Kanato. "Why didn't you come to me?"
" I-I didn't hear anythin-" you began, before you were cut off.

"Are you calling me a liar? I did call you. I called you twice...right, Teddy?" His voice started to become wavery as if he was on the verge of crying. "So why didn't you come to me? You chose me, not them, yet you still continue to ignore me..."

"I swear on my life, Kanato-kun, I didn't hear anything, so-"

"What a stupid excuse!" He screamed rage evident in his lavender eyes. "Do you really think that your pathethic life means anything to me, insect?"
Suddenly he was on top of you, his hands around your neck.
"K-Kanato-kun..I ca-I can't...breathe..."
He smiled at you before tightening his hands further.
"Really? Then why do you keep speaking?"
You felt tears run down your cheek before his face faded to black.
'Kanato-kun...'

You shot up, inhaling a lungful of air.
"Haaa...haa.." panting softly, you looked around to find that you weren't in your own bedroom. The design was simple and purple-based, with few toys scattered around on the floor; of which were building blocks...a rocking chair and ...Teddy?
"(Y/N)..."
A hand pulled you back down to the bed roughly by your arm.
"K-Kanato. .."
He was laying right beside you, unnoticed until now. His hair was slightly ruffled as if he'd been asleep for a while, and he had dried blood all over his chin.
'Could he be more messier?' you thought, rubbing the puncture wound on your neck.
"(Y/N)." Kanato repeated your name again, making you involuntarily wince.
"Yes, Kanato-kun?"
"Don't take the sleeping pills anymore. They taint your blood, making it bitter.."
How had he found out about the pills? You had stolen them from school because of your anxiety at the mansion, but you hadn't told anyone at all.
Deciding it would be best not to know, you nodded and sighed.
"Okay, Kanato-kun. Well, I'll just be going to my room...I think I should go to bed..."
"Wait..." he said, grabbing your arm again, preventing you from leaving.
"You can sleep in here now."
"Wh-what? Why?"
"So you can hear me when I call you. Teddy and I thought this would be more convienient."

"But there not a second bed..." You blushed and started to rise again before getting held down once more.
"So? Will you continue to be an ungrateful insect or accept my offer? It's beneficial for you, too."
At the sight of his temper flaring you relaxed, laying your body next to his. And as he wrapped his arms around you and buried his face in your neck, you sighed.
"Thank you, Kanato-kun."
