It was a small town.
Everybody knew her.
And her sisters.
And her parents.
And her grandparents.
She always had to be on her best behavior.
But somedays she didn't want to be on her best behavior.
Somedays, she wanted to forget her last name.
She wanted to rebel.
She wanted to change who she was.
She wanted people to remember her for her,
Not for who's daughter she was.
She wanted to live her own way.
But she couldn't.
She couldn't do any of that.
Because of reputations.
Her family had a reputation in that town.
She was the youngest, so she had to keep up that reputation.
She hated it.
She hated reputations.
But she had one.
And she had to keep it up.
She had to.
For her family.
But she really, really hated
Reputations.
