Global Warming:
a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons (combination of gases that are harmful to the Earths O-Zone Layer), and other pollutants.
Why Should I want to stop Global Warming?
You should always look for ways to stop Global Warming. In a couple of years, we are going to run out of gasoline on Earth. Then what? How are we going to move our cars? .... Exactly. If the temperature of Earth rises too much, the icebergs could melt, destroying the homes of Penguins, Polar Bears, and other animals such as Arctic Foxes and Rabbits. Plus, Earths sea level will rise, causing floods and possibly tsunamis. It could also cause massive Earthquakes.
What can I do to help?
Think of ways to help YOUR community. Start a club that picks up trash in the local park every Sunday! Maybe you can start a movement to end the use of fossil fuels and create engines that purify the air before it comes out the back of a car/truck. (Another alternative is to use corn) some people made giant iPhones and dragons that can actually breathe fire, so why can't we make an engine to purify air before it comes out of the car?
Some alternatives:
It doesn't even have to be a huge movement to help our Earth and to help stop global warming.
•Car Pooling
•DO NOT throw out plastic items! They can take over ten years to decompose. Recycle them or reuse them!
•DO NOT throw out paper or glass! Recycle or re-use people! (Also, don't use ONLY one side of a piece of paper! You. Are. Wasting!!)
•Don't litter or leave your garbage at the beach to get washed away into the ocean. That plastic Chip bag that "can't do anything" that you left at the beach a couple days ago? That can strangle a fish somewhere and it is YOUR fault.
•share your information with others! This can start a huge movement.
•Never forget that even throwing one bag on the ground can ruin or Earth.
Just one last statement...
Remember people. We only have one Earth, with one atmosphere. Let's treat this Earth right and we will never have to worry about our Ozone Layer bursting.
