Surrounded by guards, a man just a little older then me came up. Bound by chains, he walked painfully slowly. "Here you go. Don't know why you want to talk to a prisoner way out here, but we brought him. As you've asked, half his time has been removed."
"Thank you gentlemen, but I don't want to talk with him. Perish the thought. I want him to train with us." I had pulled out a special iron collar with a tracker inside. I fastened it on before the guards could blink.
"We won't be needing you or the chains. I'll take responsibility if he's gone for more then a day. Oh, we'll be borrowing him daily for two weeks or so." I smile as politely as I can manage. One guard, seemingly terrified, kneeled hiding their face. But I knew it was Eri acting again.
She undid a chain, and others bent to help after looking at one another. The prisoner himself had been standing there, belief not quite on his face. It only kicked in after all the chains had been removed, and he had raised his hand to his face, wiggling his fingers. The guards saluted and left.
"So... what am I doing? Hard labor?" The prisoner asked. "No sir. What we need is a teacher. To be exact, a thief teacher."
