Kageyama x Fem!Reader Pt. 1

Admin: Fan service time for Kageyama! I realized that there was a lack of Kageyama x Reader on this account and decided to give you guys one! I'll split this story into 2 or 3 parts since it turned out longer than needed hehe

You and your friends are hanging out behind the school building. Classes are finally over and you don't have any volleyball practice. You are an outside hitter for the girl's volleyball team here at Karasuno High School. But the volleyball tournament was coming up soon and you couldn't waste much time. So you and the captain are hitting a volleyball back and fourth out by the grass. You've known the captain, Yui, since just the beginning of this school year. You weren't that interested in volleyball at first, but when you saw the boys play a practice game, something sparked your interest in the sport. Maybe it was the way they played so determined and commited. Or maybe it was because they were so good at it and looked so professional. Whatever it was, it was them who caught your interest in the sport.

As the red, white, and green volleyball came spiralling at you, you clasp your hands together and brought you shoulders up just as the ball made contact with your skin. The round object flew high up into the air and Yui took her chance. She took three quick steps forward and jumped up to the ball. Then, bringing up her hands, she swung them down fast spiking the ball at you. You brought your hands together and managed to hit the ball. You yelped as the ball bounced rampant off your arms and onto the grass. "Ah, sorry Yui-chan. I wasn't able to save the ball," you apologised to her. "No need to apologise, Y/N! You did your job and kept the ball in the air! Plus, you had a quick reaction to it which is good!" She grabbed you by both your shoulders and shook you lightly. "Don't you ever blame just yourself! Your not the only one who has to take all the blame! Promise me you won't put all the blame onto yourself!" Stilll from the shock, you stuttered to find words. "U-uh... What..?" Sometimes Yui took things a little too much, but then again it was probably her captain instincts.

"I said promise me!" she yelled at you. Wow she's loud, you thought in your head. "Sure..." You said to her. She nodded at you and gave you a smile. "Good. Now, I think we should head back home. It's starting to get dark out here. Get some sleep, okay?" You told her 'yes' and soon enough you both departed. Yui ran off back home while you decided to stop by the vending machine. After all, it's good to stay hidrated after some practice.

You dialed in (random letter and number) and out popped your favorite and healthy drink [Lol I'd probably buy a soda or something]. Popping in the straw, you started sipping the juice and started to walk home, but something stopped you.

The sound of sneakers screeching against wooden floor and yelling voices were heard. You could here something being hit and it was coming from the gym, where the noises seemed to echo.

You reached the large gymnasium and walked up to a window. Going on the tips of your toes, you peeked through one of the windows.

The boys volleyball team was still at practice.

This surprised you. It was almost 7:30 pm and they were still at it.

The boys were playing a practice match against each other. You watched as the server - a raven haired boy - threw the volleyball up into the air. At first you thought he threw it up to high and too far away from him to serve it, but then he started to runs towards it. Then he jumped up and hit the volleyball with enough force to send it flying right at the opponent's receiver. Even though it went right to the other player, it had a lot of speed and so much power. If you were to receive such a serve, you were sure to hit the ball off the court and flying into the ceiling.

They continued to play more rounds and you found yourself intrigued by the black haired boy. He seemed to have a bit of a temper - mostly to that short boy with orange hair - but asides from that, he was good at almost any position. Though it seemed that his main position was as the setter.
