'Was I supposed to prep with a six-step just now?' I thought. I made sure I was center stage and continued to turn. I was halfway through this performance. I couldn't stop now and think about the things I may or not be doing wrong right now. After everything I'd been through to get to this point, I couldn't afford to think that way now.
Finishing up my solo, I knew I had nailed. Definitely top five in awards material. While I walked off stage, I couldnt help but think back to everything that I went through in the past six months to have this solo. What I had done and lost, to get to this point. And for what? Two minutes on stage to myself of course. I've been wanting this for awhile now. I had earned it.
But was any of it even worth it?
