You know you're in trouble when their name becomes a secret.
When you have to make up a nickname for them ,just so you won't have to say the word.
When the name comes up in a conversation and your stomach sinks from nervousness.
When it does come up you envision their face , their voice their laugh.
The last thing they said and the way it made you feel.
When the word itself becomes scarce in your vocabulary.
When you know calling their name would mean it's all real. So they can never find out.
And if,even after you two are all history,you just can't say the word...
You're in trouble.
