"Melody!" My mother yelled at me from the bottom of the stairs. I groaned not wanting to get up. My name is Melody and I'm 16. I start a new school today. I move all the time. I hope this time I won't have to move. We bought a little beach house on the coast of Verna. (Made up place. I think.) We always get a house near or on the beach. I don't blame them I love the beach. Oh my birthday is today. Yeah, Fun. I just hope I can make friends this time. I jump up out of bed and grab my light blue skinny jeans and a band tee. I run into the bathroom turning on the water.
Once I got out dried my hair I garbed my flat iron and straightened my blond almost white back length hair. I puffed it up in the back when I was done. I put on my eye makeup and a light color lip gloss. I found my multicolored bow and out it in my bangs. I walk out of the bathroom and into my room to find my little brother Ash fast asleep on my bed. I smiled and walked over to him kissing his forehead. I found my black converse and put them on with my band bracelets and my choker. It was black with chains. I garbed my black hip-bag and ran down the stairs to see my mom sitting at the table sipping coffee. "Mom?" She looked up and I gaped running over to her."What happened!" I half yelled/whispered."Nothing I-I fell and hit my head." I sighed and nodded knowing she was lieing. I know she was because he hit me to. My mom had no idea of that.
Running to my bike, My baby, I hopped on and started to school. Once in the school parking lot I parked my bike, grabbed my bag, and headed into the school looking for the front office. I got stares everywhere I went. Have they never seen a new girl before. Oh wait yeah a new emo girl. Yup i'm emo. Sometimes I wish I was never born. I get beat sometimes more. I cut to release pain. I cry my self to sleep and I listen to full on screamo. My favorite band ever is BVB Better known as Black Veil Brides. Andy sixx is the best. I ran into someone and feel to the ground. "Hey watch-" I looked up and was lost in bright blue icy eyes.(No sadly it not Andy sorry!But he is in this story!) "sorry" We said at the same time. He laughed and I smiled. "I'm Jet." I smiled. "Melody, You can cal me Mel." He nodded. "Your new?" I nodded again. Then I guess he finally looked me over. I looked him over to. He was tall pale with shortish-longish blond hair that fell in his eyes to the left. He was wearing black skinny jeans and a Green Day shirt. And a 30 seconds to mars jacket. "Were are you headed?" He asked me. "Front office." He nodded and zoned out a little bit.
Once we stopped and walked in the lady at the front desk saw him with me and smiled a knowing smile. Wired. He just nodded. I looked at him and he smiled. "I'm Melody sky's." I said. " I'm new here." She nodded and beckoned me to come forward. "Here you are. What block would you like?" I thought for a minute. "Art." I said she nodded. Once I got it I looked it over.

Jet took my seclude and looked it over smiling. "Why are you smiling?" I asked scared of what he would say. Wait what. Why am I scared. "We have every class together." I nodded and followed him to first hour.(sorry guys I'm still in middle school so I don't know what kind of classes they have.) Once we got there and walked in all eyes landed on us. Whispers were directed at me and I walked up to the teacher and gave him my paper to sign. Once he did he got the attention on the other kids. "Listen up we have a knew student Her name is Melody treat her nice." I looked down and blushed.I hate the spot light. I don't like to be centered. I walked to the back of the room and sat down. "Psst" Someone beside me was tiring to get my attention. "What." I snapped. "I'm Blake." I nodded and turned back to the teacher how was going on about triangles. Ugh I hate math. Someone pocked me and I jumped. "What" I said again. This time it was Jet not Blake. "You okay?" He asked I only nodded. " You sure?" I nodded again."Well After school do you wanna maybe hang out?" I looked up surprised and nodded "Yeah, sure." I said looking down. RINGGGGG!!!!!! I garbed my stuff and walked out with Jet on my heels. We walked into the class and sat into the back of the room. I sat down and looked out the window. When class started someone had placed a piece of paper on my desk. I opened it and read it.

I smiled and laughed slightly and wrote back giving him the note. After a few minutes of listening to the teacher talk about Romeo and Juliet I saw a flash of white and saw the note.

I gave him the note as he read I watched his blue eyes read the note. He smiled a little bit and wrote something back and handed it to me.

I read it and when I saw do you I paled. I looked up at him and nodded. He only sighed. could I tell him about it. So I only put bad life....... that is what I put and gave it to him. He looked at me and saw my eyes. He looked at me before pulling me into a hug in front of everyone. Then I realized I was crying. The teacher told us to go wait in the hall.
-Flashback-
"Mommy!" I screamed. "Run! Whatever you do don't stop!" I looked at her with tears in my eyes."What is going on?" I asked. She looked at me with scared sad eyes."We are in danger take your brother and run." I looked to Ash's crib and ran to him taking him in my arms. "Mom!" I shouted. "Go!" I just nodded and ran. I ran out the door down the stairs and saw my dad on the ground with someone above him. He had a silver stake in his heart. I quickly ran away from the man tyring to grab me. I saw my dad mouth "Run!" I just ran for the door. Once I was outside I ran with ash crying. I ran until I got to a wal-mart. It was the first thing I came across. So I ran in people looking at me wired. I saw a cop and ran over to him tears running down my face. "Please you have to help me!" I begged. He looked at me and my brother. "What happened?" I looked down tiring to clam self. "My parents. They told me to run. There was a man he killed my father someone tried to kill me. I garbed my brother and ran." I broke down and cried holding ash tightly to my chest. "Miss, What is your name?" "Melody sky's" I told him as his eyes widened. He garbed his phone and called someone. "Yeah it me, I got melody sky's her parents are dead it happened." I looked at him as he came down to me. "Listen we are gonna get u safe I promise." I looked at him through teary eyes and said. "What's happening." He looked at me before whispering the most terrifying thing into my ear." Were mermaids. Your mother and father were mates and your mother was a mermaid as your father a mermaid."
I looked at him as he flashed me a smile. I saw fangs. "What does that make me?" I asked in a scared voice. "Mermaid. Your parents were the most powerful people in the world of mer. So That makes you our princess and them our king and queen." Hold up IM A PRINCESS! "What?" I asked unsure of my self. "Your a princess and we will protect you. I promise."

Protected everywere I went. The people I live with now don't know I know only the cop witch is my uncle. Yeah he is my uncle. Why am I not with him? Well It could have been to easy for them the hunters.
