"Hey dad! How was your trip?" I said hugging him.

"Hell. I barely got any sleep!" He exclaimed. I giggled at his actions.

"Well then why don't you go take a nap and I'll make us dinner or something." I said pushing him to his room.

"You sure?" He said stopping and turning around.

"Yes now go! Go! Food will be ready when you wake up?" I said shoving him in his room.

I walked to the kitchen and grabbed my phone. I still had a lot of time so I decided to call Matt.

"Hello?"

"Hey babe! Hey um wanna come over for dinner and maybe meet my dad?" I asked waiting for a answer.
No answer.

"Matt? Babe?"

"Oh uh sorry. Um yeah sure. But I need to talk to you." He said in a serious tone.

"Okay... What is it?" I asked getting nervous.

"Well my mom wants me to get a apartment and I was wondering if you...wanted to maybe, move in with me?"

He wants me to what? We only been going out for maybe a month. My dad just got back from his second trip.

But I do live on my own basically. My dad leaves again tomorrow for another trip that is two months.

"Tia? Hello? Earth to Tia? You there?"

"What?"

"I asked if you would move in with me when I get my apartment."

"You don't think we're moving too fast?"

"No. Listen I know you might not be ready but I think it's a good idea an-"

"Yes."

"What?"

"Yes. I'll move in with you."

"Really? Yes! Okay well wait what will your dad say?"

"I don't know. We are just gonna have to talk to him tonight."

"Okay babe."

"I'm gonna make dinner. Be here by 7."

I hung up and started to make dinner.

"So Matt. How long have you lived out here in Virginia?" My dad asked Matt taking a sip of his beer.

"Uh well I was born out here and I just never left so..." Matt said trailing off.

"Oh. I see."

I could tell that my dad doesn't exactly like Matthew yet. This made me even more nervous to bring up that I'm moving in with Matt.

"So dad..." I said trying to stay calm but  it was pretty hard. I was shaking uncontrollably.

"I um-Matt-we-"

"Tia are you okay? What is it?"

"I'm moving out." I said looking down.

"What?"

"And moving in with Matt." I said. Still trying to avoid eye contact.

"What?! No! Your too young!" He yelled at me. That's when I looked up.

"Dad! I'm a senior! I'm going to be graduating soon! Why the fuck does it matter to you though? Your not even here most of the time!" I yelled standing up causing my dad to do the same.

"I'm not here most of the time because I'm out earning money for you to survive!"

"You are here for a day to if your lucky,a week. You leave for months! What would the difference be?"

He looked at me,then at Matt. Matt was looking down and scared. I sat next to him and grabbed his hand.

"Matt,baby. Are you okay?" I asked grabbing his hand.

"I'm fine I just... I can't handle fights. It brings back to many memories..." He whispered to me.

With my other arm I wrapped it around his head pulling him into me and kissing his head.

"Tia... You can move in with him... But you have to get a job. And please,please don't get my daughter pregnant just yet Matthew." My dad said quietly sitting across from me and Matt.

Matthew looked up and nodded.

"And Tia,like I said. You need to get a job." He said looking at me.

I nodded and looked at Matt. He smiled. I loved his smile. It was like a goofy smile. But a cute smile. It was sweet.

I looked over at my dad to see if he was going to continue.

"So when are you moving in with him?" He asked looking between us. I looked at Matt.

"Well my mom wanted me to get a apartment and I asked Tia to move in. It going to be ready to move into by next month.

My dad nodded.

By the end of the dinner Matt and my dad were like best friends.

"So I'll see you tomorrow right?" Matt said grabbing my waist and snuggling into my neck.

"Yes." I said smiling and wrapping my arms around his neck.

He kissed me goodnight and started to walk home.

I tan upstairs and went to my room. I grabbed my phone seeing I ha a new message.

Unknown: your going to regret moving in with Matt.

Who ever this was,is scaring me.

I put my phone down and went to get ready for sleep.
