Wade's POV---

"Aye Gi!" I yelled. I made it towards our bedroom and saw she had her bag putting her things in."Man what you doing?" I asked.
"IM GETTING THE HELL OUT THATS WHAT IM DOING." she yelled.
"MAN YOU AINT EVEN LETTING A NIGGA EXPLAIN. I AINT HAVE NO BABY BY THAT STANKY ASS HOE."
"HOW CAN I NOT BELIEVE IT? YOU WERE AT THE 'GYM' FOR A LONGASS TIME."
"MAN YOU WANT ME TO BE HONEST WITH YO STUBBORN ASS? AIGHT HERE IT GO. IM FACING 25 TO LIFE RIGHT NOW. FEDS CAME BY A FEW MONTHS AGO AND TOLD ME THEY HAD ALL THE EVIDENCE THEY NEEDED. I AINT WANNA SAY NONE CAUSE I AINT WANNA LOSE YOU. I AINT WANT YOU TO TURN YO BACK ON A NIGGA. I WANTED YOU TO RIDE FOR A NIGGA. ON SOME BONNIE AND CLYDE TYPE SHIT. GI THIS LOVE TO INDULGING TO LET GO MAN!"

I was staring out the window of California Department of Corrections  just thinking about shit. It's been a year since I last saw Gi. She still didn't believe a nigga when I told her I didn't smash shorty and get her pregnant. I was locked up, and it was killing me not to see her pretty ass face, with them juicy ass lips and thighs. She was handmade, and all a nigga ever wanted in a wife. She was my soulmate, my partner, my ride or die, my indulger, but all that bullshit out the window now. She don't want nothing to do with my ass. Her number isn't the same, but I still keep tabs on her through Juwan and Ashley. They're married now, and working on baby number 2. Ashley finally graduated, and Juwan moved to Florida like he promised. They come down twice a month to see me, and im thankful for that. Juwan ended up getting probation because he never got caught doing his dirty work, and Im proud for my nigga. I can't be mad at em though, cause everything happens for a reason.

"Johnson?" the guard asked. "Wassup cuh?" I answered.
"Cell check." he said. I nodded and rose from the low bunk bed, and he made his way in my cell searching for shit I'm not supposed to have. I ain't tryna sneak nothing in I know will prolong my time here, I'm tryna get out and beat this damn case. The judge did cut me some slack; instead of 25, I got 5-10 which ain't so bad I guess. Hopefully God a bless a nigga, and get me out this shit. I keep to myself, and that's how shit gone stay. It's a nigga that's across the hall from me locked up, his name Corwin. He cool people, I fuck with him heavy. We both locked up for the same shit; stealing, killing, and destroying. Every sin that God didn't want his children doing. I have been attending church since I've been locked up, tryna change for the better. I learned on my own, that the streets will never love you, no matter how much time you put into them. You gotta work and earn shit, not just take it.
"You're all clear Mr.Johnson." the guard said. I nodded and walked back into the cell.

About 20 minutes passed, and I didn't do anything but sit on the bed in deep thought about nothing in particular when the guard said I had a visitor. I rose and he walked me out to the visiting room. My eyes roamed, and landed on Jeremiah and Black. I walked over to them and dapped them up.
"Wassup bruh? How you doin in this hell hole?" Black asked.
"Im making it bruh, got no choice but to." I said.
"Yeah, you right. But aye we stopped by to letcha know some shit."
I scooted closer to them.
"Ol girl Taylor's momma went missing right... so they found her momma barely alive in an abandoned apartment. Polices tracked Taylor down, and when they found her they killed her." he said.
"Damn forreal?" I asked.
"Yeah nigga."
I shook my head.
"Whats been up withchu nigga?" I asked Jeremiah.
"Nothin much really. Making moves in silence like always." he said grinning.
"I feel ya champ."  I replied.
"Still ain't heard from ol girl?" Black asked.
"Naw.... its cool. I'll never put my trust in another one. I tell ya that much. Shit crazy man." I said.
"Damn, if she cared about you, she would've at least came to see you."
"Fuck it, I ain't stressing. They turn their back when you down, but always around when you up." I said.
"That's some real ass shit." Jeremiah said.

I chilled and talked with them for a couple more minutes until visiting hours were over. After that, I walked back to my cell and got ready for dinner tonight.

*******************
"Put down." I challenged Corwin.
"Nigga you sorry as fuck. I stay beating yo ass in basketball."
"Naw, you ain't gone beat me this time playa." I said, dribbling the ball under my legs. Corwin was a pro at basketball when he was in high school, but he couldn't pursue his dreams cause he got caught in the same trap I got caught in. Shit crazy.
Everyone came out to watch us play. Some even placed a bet on who would win, of course everybody bet on Corwin. They sleeping on a nigga for real.

Within 5 minutes in the game I was beating the shit outta Corwin's ass. After awhile he just gave up. Of course everybody was mad that they lost their money.
"Told yall niggas to stop sleeping on me." I said.
"Yeah you right bruh. Should've bet on you." Stank said.
I smirked and continued to dribble the ball.
It was hot as fuck outside, but I rather be outside than in.
"Man dinner was nasty as fuck." Ant said.
"You ain't lying bruh. I'm ready to get out this bitch, they feeding us straight dog food out the can." I said.
Everybody laughed.

"Wade Johnson?" A woman called. I looked over to her direction. She was a fine ass, light skin woman with plump lips. I could tell she was cornbread fed by the way her breasts sat up in her blazer. She had on a pair of light blue jeans, black heels, with a white blazer. Her hair was very curly, and she had a black binder in her hand.
I walked closer to her.
"Damn she fine." I heard ant say. I shook my head at that nigga. He so stupid.
"Wassup?" I said.
"How are you? I'm attorney Erin Harris. I'm here to talk to you about your case." She said, extending her arm for me to shake with a smile.
I shook her hand.
"I'm good, but aight that's cool." I said.
"Follow me into the office and we'll talk about this thing."
I nodded and followed her. A nigga couldn't resist staring at her ass.
We walked through the double doors and down the long hallway towards the entry of the prison. I followed her into the small office and took a seat in front of the desk. She took a seat behind the desk and began getting files for me I guess.
"Okay first... Do you know the officer that arrested you?" She asked.
"Naw it was some black guy. But he was a detective though not a cop."
She nodded and wrote in her binder.
"Do you have any family members I could contact regarding this case?"
I instantly thought of Gi. She was the only real female I could trust but I didn't know her number.
"I gotta uncle named Bradley. My parents deceased."
"Sorry to hear about that. May I have his number?"
"310-456-2469"
She wrote it down.
"Okay , thanks. Starting with you... How long have you been 'slanging' drugs?"
"Since I was 14, almost."
"Have you ever gotten busted by the law before?"
"Nope. I wouldn't have got busted this time if my ex hadn't snitch. She was behind the whole thing, tryna play get back and shit."
"What was your ex's name?"
"She was telling people her name was Mikayla but her real name is Taylor Tillery. She broke outta of a crazy house for killing her brother."
"What was her brother's name?"
"Ladarius Tillery."
She nodded.
"And where is she now?"
"My niggas told me the polices killed her, she had her mother in an abandoned house. She was barely alive when the police found her."
"Wow, so this bitch is crazy." She said. I rose my eyebrows at her language.
"Sorry about that. But that really irks me."
I laughed, "No problem ma."
"Okay... I've found the pieces to this puzzle. I'm gonna do some research over night and I'll come back if not tomorrow morning, it'll be next Monday to let you know what I have came up with. This whole case seems foul play to me. And you my friend, aren't gonna be in here much longer. But nice to meet you, and you will be seeing more of me in the near future."
She winked. I smiled and got up, hugging her. She relaxed in my hug.
"Thank you."
"No problem Wade."
She stepped back from me and regained her composure.
"You take care." She said, leaving the office.
I silently thanked God for answering my prayers. I really wish Gi would come through for a nigga, but who knows... She probably found someone better.
I thought of something.
"Mrs. Harris?" I said, jogging behind her.
"Yes?" She said, turning around.
"Can you do me a favor?"
"Yeah sure."
"Can you try and get in contact with Giselle Jones."
"Is she your girlfriend?"
"Naw."
"What is she to you?"
"Just someone I used to love a lot."

She nodded and did a 360 on her heels, walking down the long hallway and out the door. I just need answers. Where the hell is Gi at? And why she turning her back on a nigga? I been down for her since day 1, through all the shit with her crazy ass family, and she do a nigga like this... But I gotta feeling who really knows wassup with Gi... They just not telling a nigga.

Here's the epilogue. A bit short but it'll do until book 2 is published. Look forward to it this month!!!
