Dear Maisie Charleston,
I am thrilled to hear back from you, though I am also very sad to hear you will require the emotional help at all.
About your offer to email: I know it must seem more convenient for you, but there's something about sitting in front of a computer that just....... Drains me. I can't explain it exactly, but when I write on paper the words just flow out of the pen. I really do prefer it to emailing.
Jeannette's passing has been a very heavy weight to carry. Maybe now we will be able to share the burden and eventually lighten it.
With love,
Peter Holden
