Hurry up Alana. The truck's gonna be here soon." My mom yelled. This would be my last time staying in this home , which I have been staying at since I was born. "Just a sec mom" I said while feeling tears glistening at the corners of my eyes. I took one last look of my room and shut the door. I went downstairs and went outside. Its such a beautiful day.
Too bad I would be moving to Melbourne. "Mom , why do we need to move to Melbourne ? I mean, we've been here since forever and I'm gonna miss everyone and " I burst into tears. Mom hugged me and consoled me saying everything was okay. The truck arrived. I went inside the truck and immediately fell asleep .
When I woke up , we were at the airport. That was fast. After checking in our bags we went and sit nearby the departure area. "Mommmy can I go potty ? Pweasee" Layla my little sister pleaded. We laughed. She can be so adorable. "Alright. Alana go and accompany Layla to the loo." While waiting for my sister to finish up , I see this guy looking at me from a distance. I waved at him.
He obviously was so into staring at me, he was startled when I waved. I laughed. "Hey mister , you alright?" I asked. "I'm quite alright. Just startled." He laughed. He had this amazing accent that made me a bit wowed . "Um miss ? You there?" He waved his hand in my face. "Yeah. That accent of yours.. Australian?" I asked him. "Indeed. Good day mate! Wait no that was just plain corny." We both laughed. "So miss , what is your name?"
"I'm Alana" I said with a smile. "And what about you mister?" "Andy. Andy brown." He smiled. "Alanaa mommy's calling." Layla was now tugging at my shirt, pouting. "Hey isn't she a lil cutie." Andy said. My smile faltered. "I think I have to go now andy" "now seriously? Oh well at least let me meet your family !" He grinned. "Oh uh okay. Let's go."
