(Black butler - Ciel x Sebastian)
(Ciel's POV)
"It is time for you to wake up young master." The thick low words escaped Sebastian's mouth and seeped into my ears waking me from a deep sleep. I groaned sitting up in bed and immediately grabbing my eyepatch off the bed stand and fastening it behind my head. "For breakfast today we have, lemon smoked salmon and a side of lightly baked bread. We also have scones, which would you care for this morning master?"I rubbed my eye and blinked before saying "A scone." "Very good young master." Replied Sebastian, helping me out of bed and beginning to button up my shirt. Sebastian's dark hair fell over his face like a fine veil of darkness concealing parts of his face. His pale skin was startling next to his pitch black hair and tailored suit. I noticed the way his carved marble cheekbones curved downward, casting shadows down his hollow cheekbones as he finished tying my shoelaces. I cursed myself internally forcing my eyes to part from his smooth chiseled face. I had been becoming more and more attached to my butler recently, although it was impossible for a demon to care about a human other than for their souls. Until the contract is up Sebastian must follow my every order and protect me with his life but when the day comes and the contract ends he will consume my soul. "Is something the matter young master?" Asked Sebastian breaking me from my reverie as he straightened up and looked at into my eye. The one that was not covered by my eye patch. "I'm fine." I said firmly standing up to my full hight, which was short even for my age. "Breakfast will be served shortly master." Said Sebastian, and with that he strode gracefully out of my room. I sighed. I need to do something to get mind off Sebastian.A short while I later I was sitting in the brightly lit room at the front of my mansion sipping a cup and hot tea alongside a blueberry scone. "Young master." Sebastian said as I placed the delicate porcelain tea cup back on its saucer. "Lizzy sent a message in the mail. She says she intends to visit you today." "Today?" I asked thoughtfully, "I thought I was to help Scotland Yard with their case. The one with all the drownings?" "Should you wish me to I can go down and investigate for you." "I suppose that would be helpful, you know how Lizzy gets." I told Sebastian trying not to make eye contact. "I do, young master." "At least she was thoughtful enough to send a letter beforehand instead of just showing up unexpectedly." Sebastian bowed his head and I took another bite of my scone. At least if Lizzy comes it will keep my mind off of Sebastian for a short while.
Sebastian had fled the second I finished breakfast into London, on my order to investigate, leaving me to myself in my study. A moment later I heard a knock on the grand oak door. "Yes come in." I answered, looking up from my paper work. It was Mei-rin, her pink hair flustered and glasses askew. "Hello young master." She said in her husky voice, "I was just wondering if you'd like another cup of tea. Finny and I noticed you seemed to be feeling a little down lately. Are you alright?" "Yes of course Mei-rin." I snapped at her. "I'm sorry, I've just been a little stressed out about the toy company expanding." I amended. "Oh alright then, I'm glad you're okay. Would you like the tea?" "Yes thank you Mei-rin." She then placed the saucer with a shaking hand on my desk and walked awkwardly out of the room. As soon as she left I heaved a great sigh and sunk down, resting my chin on my arms and patiently awaited the chiming of the doorbell that would signal Lizzy's arrival.
"My Ciel!" I heard a high pitched voice scream, as Lizzy burst into my study. I must have drifted off, I thought pulling my head off of my arms and rubbing my sore cheek. "Oh hello Elizabeth, how are you today?" I asked politely straightening up in my chair. "I'm great now that I'm with you Ciel! And how many times do I have to tell you, call me Lizzy!" "Of course. So what brings you here today Lizzy?" "I want to see you silly! I thought we could play a game of chess?" She said joyfully. "Yes that would be fun." I said without cracking a smile. Hopefully a game of chess would keep my mind busy for a while. Especially since Lizzy is so inexperienced with chess so I'll have to remind her once again how to play. "Yay yay! My Ciel and I playing chess together!!" Exclaimed Lizzy excitedly. She grabbed my hand then and pulled me out of the room and down the hallway to the day room.
