Chapter Five

~Tyler~

I huffed because Xavier didn't exactly tell me how early we had to get up. Not early at all. It was 9am and he was still asleep. I got up and closed the bedroom door. I picked up a sweatshirt off the floor knowing it was Xavier's, but I was freezing.

The fridge was loaded with food, so I decided to just make our breakfast instead of ordering room service. I made eggs, bacon, toast, and sausage. Without a shirt on, Xavier walked into the room and looked at me.

"You made breakfast? And you're wearing my sweatshirt." I nodded sheepishly.

"I got cold. And I don't have a warm enough sweatshirt. " He smirked.

"No it's fine. I kind of like you in my clothes." His eyes weren't their usual brown. They were darkening, almost black. He stalked towards me, and I put the plate down, knowing I would let it fall. He came forward and grabbed my cheeks and kissed me passionately. I yelped as he squeezed me waist and propped me on the counter. He stood in between my legs and continued to kiss me. Xavier started to lift my shirt over my head, then carried me back to the bedroom.

He hovered over me, and licked the side of my neck, making me whimper out in anticipation. He was going to mark me. And then complete the mating bond. 

Xavier's arms were wrapped around me as we lay in the bed. He didn't say anything, and I was starting to think that maybe this was him changing, that he would be the mate I would want him to be.

"We need to get ready. Go shower. We leave in forty-five minutes." He didn't look at me, just got up and slipped on his boxers. I sighed and grabbed an outfit, then took a shower.

Xavier and I were in the car, heading to the meeting place. He didn't talk or look at me.

When we arrived, all the Alphas and Luna's were socializing. He brought me from person to person.

Finally, we were sitting down at a huge round table. The head Alpha sitting at one end, his Luna on the other.

"I'd like to start off with welcome to my home, thank you for coming. Now lets get straight into this. Apparently, rogues think they're stronger than us. They have taken five mates of Alphas already. One has come back. She is in critical condition. One thing we know is that they want our Lunas for power. The things they are doing to to them is unimaginable. Now, the reason why I asked for all the Lunas to be here was because we need to keep or mates safe. And who knows who the next one to be taken will be. So love your mates. You never know when you'll lose them." I cringed. I felt the mark on my neck telling me I was an official Luna.

Xavier left me by myself for a few moments to talk to the head Alpha. I zoned out, trying to collect my thoughts. I'm so damn confused.

"Tyler." Xavier had a grip on my arm and I looked up at him. "Are you alright?" I slowly nodded and looked at the head Alpha standing next to him.

"Tyler, this is my older brother Daniel. Daniel, this is my mate Tyler." Now that I think about it, they do look familier. Brown hair, brown eyes, tall, same built frames.

I shook his hand and felt all the power radiate off of Daniel. And I knew that Xavier had that kind of power, and it scared me.

"It's nice to meet you."I said politely.

"As well from me to you." Daniel said and I smiled.

"Well we should get going. Lets go Tyler." I nodded and followed Xavier to the car.

We then arrived back at the hotel, and I was ready to confront him.

"Why haven't you talked to me or looked at me since we fully mated?"

"I have."

"You know what I'm talking about Xavier." I pushed.

"Just because we're fully mated doesn't mean anything to me. I needed to do that so other unmated Alphas would stay away."
