Chapter one- New Neighbors

Hayes POV

"Hayes!Skylynn! Come down stairs fora moment please!" My mom yells.

I come from my room, just as Skylynn runs past and nearly bumps into me. I hurry downstairs and pick Skylynn up from behind, she laughs.
"Is nashy coming home?" Skylynn asks hopefully
"No sweetie he is soon though." My mom responds
"So what's gojng on?" I ask.

"We have new neighbours! My childhood friend, Cassidy, and her 4 kids Dani, Hunter, Jeremy  and Aniston. They are coming for dinner tonight so clean up." She rushes
"Hold on, how old are they?" I ask
"Dani is 19, Hunter is 15 and Aniston is 6. I believe Jeremy is 17" My mom says.
"Yay!" Skylynn squeals.

I carry Sky to her room and then walk to mine. My mom always talks about Cassidy and her children, how she's divorced (a rough split). I have never met them though, I'm guessing they are moving next door. 

    I decide to dress up and actually try just in case the daughter is hot. I grab my clothes, and a towel and go to take a shower.
-Skip shower-

I dry my hair and style it so my hair will be its usual style in what people call a quiff. I pull on a light purple button up and some jeans with a random pair of my nicer shoes. I look in the mirror and give myself an approving nod.
    I walk over to skylynns room to see that she has laid out many outfits, she looks at me, with wide eyes and groans.
"What to wear? Hasss help!" She sits on the floor and sighs.

"How about your pretty flower dress with your sandal things..." I say confused.

"Yes, I like that. Will you do my hair?" She looks at me with hopeful eyes.

"Yes." I smile slightly as I cover my. Eyes for her to get dressed. 

"Done!" She chirps.

I uncover my eyes as she gives me a brush and hair ties with a bandana. I just brush her hair out and pull her hair back into a ponytail then tie the  bandana  around her head.
"Do I look good?" She stands giggling
"Beautiful." I smile.
"I know," she says and laughs
   I playfully roll my eyes and smile, she swings on her swing a little and looks at me.
"Love you haysie." She says seriously
"Love to too sky." I say and then our mom yells for us telling us they are here.
"Race ya there" Sky runs and I slowly run behind her.
  When we get downstairs and she cheers that she won and then we look at the new family in front of us.

"Guys, introduce yourselves!" The woman, Cassidy I'm guessing says.

"Jeremy." The only guy says.
"Hunter" the girl says, happy I dressed up.
  "Dani" she looks like a older vision of Hunter.
"I'm Aniston" the youngest girl says, who looks like a younger version of the two older girls.

"Hayes.." I say with a small wave.
"I'm Skylynn!" Sky Chirps

Aniston and Sky runs off to I'm guessing Skylynns room. Everyone else goes to the kitchen.
"Do you guys like spaghetti?" My mom asks
They all nod, "I'll help cook!" Hunter volunteers
"Sure! Can you cut up some basil and green pepper." My mom asks
"Yup." Hunter nods

About twenty minutes of squealing, laughing and cooking. There's nothing else for Hunter to do, she sits next to her brother.
"So how you said Hayes is doing homeschooling, I'm going to put my kids in too! Maybe they could all stay in one house and switch back and forth yeah?" Cassidy says happily

"That sounds great!"  My mom clasps her hands together

"Great?" Hunter looks at her mom "homeschooling seems... Terrible." She groans

"Well last time you were in regular school you stared.."  Cassidy starts

"I know but what if people are better here?" Hunter exclaims.

"You're going to do homeschool period."  Cassidy looks at her.

"What ever." Hunter walks out back.

"God." Cassidy mumbles as I go outside.

I walk outside to follow Hunter and look around, she's not there so I turn the corner to see her sitting on a rock. Her head in her hands, her breath quick which most likely means she's crying. I walk over to her, quietly sitting by her. She looks up at me with read eyes.

"Wha-what?" She tries to be angry but she just begins to sob.

"Why are you crying?" I ask

"I don't want to talk about it.."  She looks down "please..just leave me alone." She snaps.

"But I just wan-" she cuts me off
"I don't need your help." She raises her voice, no longer crying.
"It's your dad isn't it." I say then automatically regret it.

"Don't ever speak of my dad okay? You don't know anything about me and we just met you have no freaking clue who I am! I don't like all of the I wanna be here. Type of stuff especially from you." She yells.

"How can you not like me if you don't know me?" I snap.

"Because I hate people who automatically think they know me! You will never know me!" She snaps back

"Well I know you're rude, snobby and disrespectful." I say. 

"If you knew why you'd understand!" She yells. "Just leave"

"Gladly." I get up and walk away 

I wish she was pretty on the inside as she was on the out. She is really rude and snobby. I walk into the kitchen..

"What was all the yelling about, did Hunter yell at you?" Cassidy asks

"Yeah," I say simply.
"Why?" My mom asks
"I asked about her dad and why she wears crying. Then she started yelling about how I don't know her." I shrug

"Oh my god Hayes.." My mom says
"We can't explain until she is ready but a lot happened at her old school and her dad." My mom adds.
