The silence of the room was deafening. At first it had been bearable, she was under the impression she was going to be let out, but as the hours got longer her thoughts had become louder and she had yet to find a way to quieten the noise.
She rocked back and forth in the middle of the room, the blank, white walls seemed to be closing in on her. Hunger was eating away at her inside, and the screams of her friends often echoed off the corridors below. One by one her thoughts began to fade into a blur, and as she lay in a heap in the middle of the floor, she wheezed another breath before uttering 5 small words.
"I'm going to die here."

Suddenly a loud bang came from the door, and she heard footsteps and shouting. She tried to move toward the door, but her strength had faded and she collapsed once more, but she was not about to be left behind. She pulled herself toward the door and weakly kicked the door. Doing so caused her pain and she rolled over onto her back, determined not to let her weakness get the better of her, she rolled over and tried again.
But she needn't have tried as the door swung open and light flooded into the room.
"Oh my god, Spencer."
Someone ran over to her and picked her up, gently murmuring her name.
"Spencer, what happened to you? Who did this?"
She looked up to see sky blue eyes, and tousled hair. And in an instant she felt safe. Even though she was still in that place.
She was with him, and he would protect her no matter what. And with that thought in her head she mustered up all the strength she had and opened her mouth, her voice scratchy and rough.
"Toby?"
