He carefully lifted her up, aware of how weak she was. He carried her through the dark halls, which she would never want to see again. Grasping tight to his shirt she let out a little whimper, causing him to slow down, hugging her tighter to his chest.
When they finally reached the wide doors that had kept her from him for so long, the light flooded her eyes, and she almost felt free. Toby carried her to where the ambulances were, awaiting her arrival. He climbed inside of the large white van and layed her down on the bed. He closed his eyes and breathed a sigh of relief.
She was okay.
And that's all that mattered.

It was almost midnight when the reached the hospital, during the long ride Spencer had eaten some small foods, and was feeling better already.
Toby watched them wheel her into the hospital and dissapear round the corner. They had to run some tests on her to make sure she was fine, which left him to wait for a long time. The receptionist tried to get him to leave, by telling him they'd note his phone number and keep him posted if anything happened but he was having non of it, he wanted to stay by Spencer, and this was the closest thing to it, he felt like he should have been there more for her, protected her instead of paying such close attention to his job. The weeks without her had been torture, and he wasn't about to relive that by losing her again.
Not long after a familiar face made an appearance in the door way, and gave a sad smiles when he saw Toby sat alone. He walked over to him, cautious to whether he was asleep or awake. "Dude?" He whispered, lightly shoving his shoulder. Toby jolted awake, quickly scanning the room and relaxing when his eyes met the ones of caleb rivers. "Why are you still here?" He asked, rubbing his eyes.
"Hanna fell asleep, but I didn't want to leave - you know?" Toby nodded, he understood exactly what he meant, thus being the reason he was also still here.
Caleb patted his shoulder "sleep. If I hear anything on Spencer then I'll wake you, okay?" Toby shook his head
"No, I can handle-"
"Okay?" Caleb cut him off with a smile, Toby groaned and gave in, taking off his jacket and folding it as a pillow.•

Toby woke up to someone gently shaking him. He expected it to be Caleb, but when he looked up it wasn't, however it was a short nurse dressed in blue. He looked around for Caleb, but he was nowhere to be seen. He must have left - that idiot.
"Are you here for Spencer Hastings?"
The nurse asked, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"Yes. I am" he replied, perking up slightly.
The nurse smiled "we've finished the tests, and everything is fine. She had a few cuts and bruises and we're going to have to take her eating schedule step by step, as it looks like she's not been eating very well at all these past few days."
Toby let out a breath and stood up.
"Can I see her?"
The nurse pointed through a white door "through there, fourth door on the left. She's sleeping currently but she'll come round soon. "
Toby quickly thanked the nurse and almost ran into Spencer's room, the sight of her sleeping flooding him with relief again. She was finally okay, and she was finally home.
He pulled up a chair at the edge of her bed and grasped her cold hand. "Hi." He whispered "you have no idea how much I've missed you Spencer, it was the hardest thing I've ever done - having to live without you. Even just for the amount of time you were gone. I wasn't sure if I would ever see you again - and if I hadn't found you when I did, i don't think I could've gone on much longer. I love you. Okay? Just remember that I'll always love you." He says, unable to carry on as tears welled up in his eyes. He closed his eyes and leaned back on the chair, but not letting go of her hand. Suddenly he felt a movement, her hand twitched in his."I do know much you've missed me." She spoke in a croaky voice.
"Because I missed you more than anything."-
