((This is based on their song "Slowtown" from their album Regional At Best. It's a v good song and I recommend it if you haven't heard it already! The song is the YouTube video link above if you wanna listen to it ☺️))

They sit together on the short grass then lay down, Jenna's head resting on Tyler's chest which rises and falls slowly as he breathes. He plays with her hair, gently twisting and twirling small sections of it between and around his fingers. Jenna shivers sometimes due to the tingly feeling of her hair being played with, which makes Tyler smile.

"Jenna," Tyler says quietly.

"Yeah?" Jenna replies, turning on her side and resting her head on her hand, elbow on the grass, supporting her so she can look at Tyler. Tyler copies her so they're both on their sides, facing each other.

"Do you ever think people don't take enough time to put their lives on hold for a little while?" Tyler asks Jenna, looking into her amazingly blue eyes which are accentuated by the sun.

"What, like us? Staring at the clouds just appreciating nature and being with someone?"

"Exactly! People are so wrapped up in their busy lives they don't take time just to relax and spend time with people they love and let the world go by. Clouds seem to go by slowly, but the world is actually spinning fast. It's like the world is our minds. Fast minds, slow clouds..." Tyler says, staring at the grass, consumed by his deep thoughts until Jenna speaks.

"Yeah, I've noticed that. I think someone should create a large space where people can just go to relax," Jenna smiles, shifting slightly closer to Tyler.

"Better yet - a city or town. Slowcity? Slowtown? Slowtown. Sounds nice." Tyler smiles back, subconsciously pulling out blades of grass. His arm aches so instead of leaning on it, he lays it flat on the grass and lays his head on his bicep. Jenna does the same to be at the same eye level.

"Slowtown sounds great, Ty," she says, reaching for his hand to hold.

"Wanna hear a story about when I was younger?" Tyler asks, taking Jenna's hand and holding it.

"I'd love to," Jenna smiles, squinting from the sun.

Tyler is quiet for a moment, trying to think of how to start. "Now I'm older, I appreciate time and family and friends so much more. I don't remember a lot from when I was younger, but I do remember when Zack and other kids from the neighbourhood would ride our bikes everywhere. Those were the best days," he laughs lightly and squeezes Jenna's hand before carrying on.

"We loved cars, so we'd put cards in the spokes to make an engine noise. A lot of us collected Pokèmon cards and had a few duplicates, so we'd used those - never the holographic ones, though - we protected those holographic cards more than we protected ourselves," he laughs again, and Jenna laughs with him, looking into his eyes which are dark due to the clouds hiding the sun.

"Carry on, dear! I'm intrigued," Jenna smiles, kissing Tyler's hand.

"Okay, okay. We used to play on our friend's trampoline. It felt so cool just to laugh and defy the laws of gravity with great friends. We'd try and reach for the sky and flip and somersault until it got dark and our mothers called us in. We were fearless and we were reckless. We didn't worry about our futures. We lived in the moment, and I just wish I'd taken a little more effort to try and remember more of my childhood instead of planning out more adventures and thinking slightly ahead," he sighs.

"I guess that's why whenever I go on a trampoline with Mercy or someone, I don't look up, because I remember my childhood and regret not remembering more of it. I'm not a care free young boy anymore. I have a job which I love, a wife, stresses and worries and I'm getting older. I guess I'm afraid of the inevitability of death and growing old - but hey, at least I have a beautiful wife to grow old with," Tyler smiles, leaning in to kiss Jenna in the forehead.

"Hey, slow down there! We've got decades ahead of us to spend together. You're as young as you feel. Don't worry about the future. Remember today, and how lovely it's been, just letting the clouds go by and watching them with your quote: 'dime-piece wife',"Jenna says, giggling at her silly nickname.

"I love you, Jenna," he says, holding her face in his hands and kissing her.

"I love you too," Jenna replies, smiling intently at her husband.

"Wanna stay in our own miniature Slowtown for a little longer before we head home?" Tyler asks, before yawning.

"I would stay here in our own personal Slowtown forever if it meant I was with you," Jenna says, stroking Tyler's stubbly face.

"Well, I don't know about forever, but maybe another hour or so, if that's okay, babe."

"Perfect," she beams before rolling back flat onto her back to look at the clouds again. Tyler admires her for a few seconds before he too, turns onto his back to look at the slow moving clouds, smiling to himself, realising how lucky he is to have someone so beautiful, understanding, intelligent, sweet and funny as Jenna.
