It is a few days before the ship was going to set sail and I still havn't made up my dicision.
"Heather, wake up we have a big day today and I don't want you to be late to your piano lessons." said my mother who was in my closet choosing my outfit for the day.
"Fine." I said mumbling.I got out of my bed and stumbled across the floor and headed to the restroom. I entered the bathroom and washed my face, I grabbed a towel and wiped my face gently. I looked at myself in the mirror wondering how the day would go and what other things I would do. I left my thoughts and stepped out of the bathroom and weant to the dress that was laying on my bed. I grabbed the dress and slipped it on and tightened the bow in the back. I fixed my brown hair and grabbed a flared hat that was on my pillow. I opened the door and walked down the stairs.
"Heather, your breakfeast is ready." said my maid.I walked down the hallway to go greet her and almost slipped at the work of it.
"Thank you." I said while I sat down to eat.
"Your welcome" she grinned.
"Wow, this is great! What is it?" I asked with crumbs covering my mouth.
"It's a ancient recipe my mother taught me. I forgot the name of it."
"Oh thats nice." I said wiping crumbs from my mouth and pushing in my chair."Thank you for the sweet meal." I left out the door in search for my mother. She was outside in the doorstrep waiting for her beloved friend Marie.I despised her, she seemed so mean. Although I didn't have proof of her being mean, I still don't trust her. Finally she came, she stared at me with her cold eyes and went up the steps and shoved me a bit before entering the house. I left a note stating I would go for a little stroll.I know she would get mad at me for doing that but, I had to.
I was walking around and took a took a turn to find my self landing right in front of Edward's house. I knocked on the door and I saw him instantly come out. He was about to say something but, I cut him off.
"I don't know what to do, I'm not sure If I should go or not. I'm scared that if I go I will regret it." I say mumble.
"Don't be uneasy about it. You will be fine, besides you are my friend and I will be with you." he says encouragingly.
"I just can't Edward. I can't risk leaving my mother alone and you know she will freak if she finds out I'm gone." I say.He shakes his head dissapprovingly.
"Why? I just want to go with atleast one friend." he says with sadness trailing from his voice.
"I will think about it. But if my mother finds out she will punish me and I WILL blame it on you! You got that?" I say glaring at him.
"So is that a yes?" he asks while he looks at me with big round eyes.
"I told you I will think about it.. Don't you listen.." I mumble under my breath.
"Fine then! No need to be rude about it." He scolds at me.
He finally nudges me to scoot back so he can close the door behind him. I move and then start walking away but suddenly he catches up to me. I glare at him while we walk in silence.
"Why are you following me?" I ask suddenly breaking the silence.
"I don't know.." he says awkwardly.
"Oh what ever." I say while I finally reach the block I truned earlier. I could see my house from here. I see my mother stepping outside the door with the paper crumbled up in her hand and she's furious.
"Young lady who said you could go outside with out my permission?" she says angrily while I look away.
"Look at me!" she yells.
"Yes?" I turn to face her.
"I should probably leave.." mumbles Edward.
"Oh, no you don't! Your not leaving till I say you do!" she screetches.
"First of all, I don't want you to touch my daughter! If you do, I will report to the police!" she threatens.
"Yes ma'am." says Edward.
"Know, for you young lady.." she glares at me with her piercing eyes. I turn away and I decide to go for it, I run. I run past her and rush to my room. I tear some of my poofy dress, I lock myself in my room instantly. I get so nervous I pack my things, I know it's not even time for it to set sail yet but I couldn't wait any longer. Besides, I could go live with Edward. Wait... I can't. My mom will catch me. Blah, who cares. I finish packing my thing and run downstairs and take a key hanging on a hanger and I rush out of the back door. I lock the door behind me and I turn around and start running through thickets and thick bushes. I keep running not caring how much my dress must be ripping and my hair was get messed up and dead leaves and scratches were covering my face. I started to get tired and my luggage was getting slwing me down, but I held in there.
I finally got there to his house. I knocked on the door and his parents opened the door.
"Hello, um.. may I speak with Edward." I asked sweetly.
"Sure, why not!" His mother said enthusiasticly while his dad went to go fetch him. I waited and I looked at my ripped dress. I felt disgusting.
