Hi my name is Paridise Goodman. I'm from Miami , Florida but I live in new Jersey. I am 17 years old in 11th grade .
When I was 11 years old and my mom had a promotin on her job and we had to move to new jeresey. 5 years later my mom was sick from cancer and I had to take care of her on my own because I didnt have family in new Jersey.1 year later which Is today im still taking care of my mom im happy she doing better but sad because the doctor said its a 50% chance that she might live. My mom was going to the kitchen on her own and fell down the stairs and broke her ankle so I took her to the hospital.
We finally arrived to the hospital and the doctors rushes her to the ER room. I was sitting in the waiting room paranoid all of a sudden the doctor called me and told me that cancer is taking over her body and we might have.to pull the plug. The doctor said she have to stay in the hospital for a week, so I called my aunt about the news so she flew in town. I drive home 5 hours later there was a knock on the door. I opened it and it was aunt Ruby . I grabbed her bags and took it to the quest room . "All u have to do is pray she will be ok" aunt ruby said to me as I broke out it tears aunt ruby huged me and told me its going to be ok . I went in the room and cryed myself to sleep when I woke up I went down stairs and smelled gravy and fried chicken I sat at the table and aunt ruby was cooking rice.fried chicken wit gravy and sweet peas . My aunt looked at me and I knew something was wrong so I asked aunt ruby did mama call and she said she's in a better place I got up and ran up stairs and started to cry and I tore up my room and asked god y do it have to happen to me . I cryed myself to sleep I woke up and I thought it was a dream until I went down stairs to see if my mom was OK but it was really true she's gone she's really gone I cried out.I hugged my aunt ruby and cried . Aunt ruby whispered in my ear and said "she's in a better place" and she said I'll have to move in with her in south Carolina until I calm down n get on my feet so I went up stairs and started packing . We are leaving tomorrow morning aunt ruby said so I jus went to bed until the next day.
