"She's been 'dying' to meet you." Brett spoke up, air quoting the word as he turned to a corner; getting your attention and making you look up to him from your phone. "Her words, not mine."

"Well, I've been 'dying' to meet her too." You said, mimicking him and making Brett chuckle when he glanced your way. "I can't blame her though."

Brett only smiled in reply, understanding why the both of his favourite girls were eager to meet each other seeing that after several months along the relationship, you and Lori haven't really met because of your schedule and the times when Brett's parents took Lori out for some quality time.

"What's she like?" You asked.

"Oh the usual toddlers- energetic, runs a lot, annoying, funny, keeps bugging their brothers to bring their girlfriend home to meet." He rambled, chuckling at the last part making you laugh lightly at it as well.

"We're here," You announced after several minutes as you pocketed your phone and Brett slowing down a familiar path and honking the car's horn to signal that you were here, before parking in front of a garage and turning off the car's engine.

You went ahead and took the house key from Brett while he took your over-night bag from the trunk then joining you at the front door. Entering the Talbot residence, you were greeted with the smell of coffee coming from the kitchen and a conversation going on in the same room.

"Y/N!" You heard you name being gleefully announced once you entered the kitchen.

"Hi," You greeted Brett's mother back just as happily as she made her way towards you from the kitchen island and giving you a cheek-to-cheek kiss, and Brett giving her a kiss on the forehead with a 'Hi, mom.'

"I'm glad you could stay for the night," The older woman smiled at you with that warm matriarchal smile she always had from the day you met her.

"Your dad's still at work, so he'll be coming home late." The mother added, "Dinner will be ready in a few. Lori's in the living room by the way." She then went back to doing whatever she was making for dinner on the counter as Brett lead the way out of the kitchen and into the living room, you following behind him and stopping when he stopped just as you entered the living area. Looking past him to see what made him stop in his tracks, you saw an adorable sight a few feet away.

Walking towards the little girl that fell asleep standing up, Brett kneeled beside her and coaxed her to wake up.

"Brett," the girl squealed lightly, sleep obviously out of the picture once she saw her brother before she wound her little arms around his neck to hug him. "Where's Y/N?"

At her question, you approached the siblings as Brett look towards you and once Lori's eyes landed on you, her smile widened. Lori was at the age where she'd talk a lot and which you patiently listened and responded to her questions, even when some of the questions were a little unclear that Brett had to translate.

"So are you going to get married?" She asked, the innocence unmistakably there.

This made you purse your lips, a giggle threatening to come out at the sight of Brett blushing. Wait, Brett's blushing? This made you cough to cover the laughter coming as you took in Brett's flustered look surrounded with her sister's stuffed animals.

"I want Y/N to wear this poofy dress just like Cinderella and then she'll have a crown..." the little girl in front of you rambled on, already planning a wedding you never really envisioned yourself.

"Uh, Lori," Brett tried to call his sister's attention.

"And then Brett would dance with you, and you'll live happily ever after," She finished with a small giggle with a smile playing on her lips when she looked to you then to Brett, only making her big brother blush even more.

"I don't mind that 'happily ever after' actually," you smiled at the little girl before glancing to Brett, who had one brow up at your answer, and back to Lori, who smiled even more.
