Chapter 1: I see a light shining at me, declaring the way out of this hellhole

(A/N: if you want, you should watch the video. Its pretty funny, in my opinion... I mean, who doesn't love Rhett and Link)

"Ugh! The ceremony is finally over. I don't think I could've lasted another second of it." My best friend Ria says.

"Yea, I don't think I could have either," I reply. "It was sooooo boring. At least it wasn't as bad as the torture that Alex makes me go through."

"Speaking of Alex, he's walking towards you right now."

I turn around and find out that Alex is in fact walking towards me."That guy is so annoying! Why does he have to bother me today? It's graduation day!" I pause. "I'm gonna run. Tell him you don't know where I went."

As I ran, I saw Alex aproach Ria and talk to her. Ria said something and he started to look around. Then he sighed, shook his head, and walked away. I let out a deep breath that I didn't know I was holding in. I made my way back to Ria. "God, what's his problem?" Ria complained.

"Exactly. I mean like, why does he keep annoying me? Not only that, but he also made my high school life a living hell. I can't wait to get out of this high school and finally leave so that I'm nowhere near him." I say.

"Yea, I can't wait either. I am so happy that you got into the same college as me! I don't know what I would do without you there." Ria marveled.

"I know exactly what you would do. You would go to parties, get wasted, do drugs, smoke, and eventually die of lung cancer before I become the maid of honour at your wedding." I joked.

Ria glared at me. "No, really."

I gulped. "Oh, speaking of college, let's go! We're going to be late for our flight, and we also need to gather our things and organize it in our dorm." I pull her away before she can say anything and drag her to our car. Yes, we share a car because we live right next to each other and it also saves money, even though we are super rich. Plus its fun to have company while driving. We get into the car and I drive home. Ria turns on one of our favorite stations, and we sit in a comfortable silence, listening to the station as I drive home.

Right now we are on our way to California to go to our college(if you were wondering, we live in New York). We made it just in time for our flight (I blame Ria for being late). Anyways, right now it's night, and Ria is right next to me, sleeping as soundly as a bear during hibernation. It feels like I'm falling into a trance, looking at her sleep, and soon, I'm asleep too.

I wake up at the sound of the pilot telling us that we are in California. I wake Ria up and tell her that we are in California.

"Hmm?" She replies sleepily.

"Ria, come on, we need to get out of the plane. We are in California," I tell her.

"Fine, fine, I'm getting up," she mutters.

"Finally!" I shout.

Everyone turns to look at me and I give them a sheepish smile.

"Sorry," I mumble

After we get out of the airport, we call for a taxi to take us to our college.

When we get to the college, we check in, grab our schedules, take our dorm room key, and then say bye to the counter lady.

Once we are in the hallway, Ria asks, "What room are you?"

"Room 221E. You?" I question back.

"Room 216E. Yay! We are not that far apart!" She replies enthusiastically.

"Yay! Too bad it doesn't list the name of our roommate here. We should meet up and introduce our roommates too each other. I'm fine with anyone, as long as it isn't Alex... Or anyone of that caliber." I went on, just as enthusiastically.

"Seriously Alli? Alex isn't gonna show up in your room, or even in this college," Ria reassured me. "Anyways, I'll come to your room after I'm done unpacking. Room 221E, right?"

"Right," I say. "Bye, see you later!"

"Bye."

As I head to my room, I pray for my roommate to be a hot guy. Not weird at all, I know.

When I enter my room, I see my roommate lying on his/her bed.

"Hi!" I greet

The person turns around I see that it's a guy. And he's hot. But there is just one teensy little complication. When I recognize the person, my heart nearly jumps out of my chest. I back away. The person in front of me can't be him...

Alex Osborne.

"Aww, sh*t!" I yell.

You were saying, Ria? So much for Alex isn't gonna show up in this college...
