Poetry in your Pocket:

Poetry is everywhere,

just look around,

poetry can be created with just a sound

In school,

at home,

or in a pool,

Poetry is everywhere

Inspirations buzzing around waiting to be created into a poem,

so go ahead and show em',

poetry is everywhere.

As I stand, I start to stare,

It can be a bee, a tree,

anything can turn into a poem, especially if the writer is me.

Poetry is in your pocket,

whether if it's lint or an old mint,

Come on, create a poem. It's great to share.

Poetry is everywhere.

Inspiration:

I can think of pirates,

I can think of ships,

Ideas are at our finger tips.

We use our heads,

but to create a story,

it's best if we use our imagination instead.

Silence:

Silence is quiet and sad,

silence drives me mad

Silence is soft,

silence would describe an empty loft.

Silence is music without sound,

like a dog who is never found

Silence is like a windy, breeze

or even a slice of cheese.

Silence is like the night,

silence might cause fright.

As people start to speak, words are said,

Silence dies down, silence is dead.

Ode to Yuki:

White like winter,

soft like snow,

Who's at the door?

She'll let you know.

Cute as ever,

I love her more and more.

As she ambles along the beach shore,

it's her big smile that I adore.

Ode to Hiro: (poem not final)

He chases the sprinklers,

bites down on the spurting water as if it was food,

let's face it, Hiro's a real tough dude
