Relax.
One word, two syllables, twelve points in scrabble- and yet, it was impossible right now.
Louis would be here in ten minutes and I was a mess. My hair was freshly straightened and I stormed around my room trying to decide what to wear.
“Maddy relax.” My cousin Sarah repeated for what felt like the fiftieth time tonight. “Just wear a dress or something.”
“I can’t wear a dress! I need to look calm. I need to look sexy but like I don’t know it.”
“Wear this.” She said shaking her head before throwing clothes and blind siding me. My arms spasmed as I caught the clothes before glaring and looking at the outfit. It wasn’t bad, at all surprisingly since Sarah had awful taste in clothing. I dressed into the simple black jean shorts and a red flowing tank top.
I gave myself a once over before bouncing to the vanity and doing my make up. When my phone switched to 7:03 Louis was knocking on the front door. I ran around to collect my back and placed my new sunglasses on the top of my head.
I swung the door open with a wide smile to see Louis’ matching one. “Hi.” He smirked and I smirked back. It was the first time I had seen his eyes. His metallicaviator glasses were tucking in the crook of his V neck band tee. His eyes were a stunning baby blue, they matched a clear sky. It seemed as though we were staring at each other for days.
“Hey.” I said leaning against the doorframe. I watched his snake bite piercings as he spoke.
“You ready for your community service?” he asked with a twinkle in his eye.
“I suppose.” I sighed averting my eyes and starring at the cement walkway that lead to the driveway. A part of me was sad that he hadn’t swept me into his arms and kissed me right there. But I guess with my sarcastic humour I hadn’t given off that I wanted it.
When he walked in front of me I took the time to really look at him. His wide backside was clothed in khaki shorts that hung down to show the lower half of his knees. The tight black shirt clung to his back and biceps. I found my eyes falling down closer to his ass time and time again in the short ten seconds we had walked to the driveway.
“Your chariot awaits.” He said stepping aside and sweeping his arms to the side. I looked past him to see a sharp looking black motorcycle.
“You can’t be serious.” I said gaping as he picked up his helmet and offered it to me.
“What’s wrong with it?” His eyes crinkled at the corners as he laughed at my expression. “I think she’s a beaut.” He winks running his hand of the handle bars before looking at me again. “You coming or what?”
“Louis…” I whined shying away from it.
“Oh come on Madeleine, live a little.”
“After I go on this I won’t be living at all.”
“That’s the spirit!” he cheered thrusting the helmet at me.
“No, please! Can’t we walk?”
“Madeleine come on.” He said placing the helmet back on the seat and grabbing both my hands. “I promise not to let anything harm you.”
I rolled my eyes at the cliché although my stomach was bursting with butterflies. My vocal chords failed me as I reluctantly nodded and accepted the smooth black shield when he handed it to me again. “That’s my girl.” He said kissing my forehead happily.
I closed my eyes as his soft pink lips met the clean skin. Never before had I wanted someone so badly. I usually wasn’t like this. I was hard to get like when we met at the beach. Flirtatious and teasing was how I presented myself and yet I was shying away and flustered. Despite his bad boy persona I felt as though it was an act or a cover, although I couldn’t be too sure.
