A figure was leaning over me. A dark, formidable shadow was blocking the light from my view. My vision...it was fuzzy. what was going on? My hand reached up to touch the figure, but it vanished  when I soothed my fingers over its tattered robes.  My hand? What was wrong with it? It was sticky...and warm...and....

I sprang up in bed. my whole body was covered in a sheen of sweat. Touching my hand to my face, I realized I had been crying. what was going on? Suddenly, I remembered. Adrian. My tears started to flow once again as I sobbed loudly. Fury and wrath consumed me. I peered through my fingers across my small bedroom. Seething, I flew out of bed and cried out as my dirty fist hit the thin wall.

"Adrian...I will find a way to save you! I swear it! I know you didn't commit that murder I just know it! You're innocent! INNOCENT! AHHHH!" I yelled in anger as my hand slid down the wall.

After a while, I started to calm down. Wiping the dried tears from my cheek, I stood up. The blood immediately rushed to my head and I suddenly felt like I was going to pass out. In that moment, a man's face flashed across my vision. It was the man from my dream! I couldn't stand it any longer. This reoccurring nightmare. I had to do something.

As quiet as I could, I peeked around the corner to see if my mother was in. Good. She's gone. Must be out in the market. Flinging my things into my satchel, I ran through my room collecting what I would need. I would only be gone a few days at most, but I wasn't going to leave unprepared, so I stuffed a measly portion of food into my bag as well. It was hardly anything because I didn't want to deprive my already sickly mother. Hoisting my pack onto my shoulder, I grabbed my walking stick.

Opening the door of our little cottage, I started up the path. I stopped. Turning around, I sighed as I beheld the only home I had lived in since birth. Little did I know that that would be the last time I would ever see it.

I was on my way. My way to the Seeker's House.
