The Oath and The Starry Pendant

Last few days were magical for Ella. All seemed unreal to her; what she dreamt for these long years ,all were true. The more she heard from Jasson the more she amazed. What was only possible in films or fictions turned out solid.Though she was very keen to have at least one dream in these nights,she hadn't any.
"Where are we going? Ella asked Jasson curiously.
"To see Mr. Tucker"
" why? I understood everything what he taught us today"
"You will see"
Ella was running to keep pace with him. Jasson wasn't very interested to talk .
"Can I just know, why are we going to see Mr. Tucker?"
Well, patience was not her forte.
"Do you remember, I was telling you about taking oath?"
" ummm...yes..you were telling like I need to vow on something..."
"Commandment of Oleen's realm"
"Oh, yes!"
"Think again Ella, do you want to take the vow?"
" I think so,and you told me that once I know all the things I can't turn back..."
"You still have some time, I can manage."
Jasson was watching her from the corner of his eyes and he saw determination.
" I want to take the vow. I want to embrace the path for what I am destined"
That was brave enough, she thought.
"Okay, as you are determined, You will have your vows in front of Mr. Tucker"
"WHAT???!!"
She couldn't ask anything else, and they were standing in front of their Chemistry teacher's office.

Mr. Tucker wasn't very surprised to see his students(Ella was thinking Mr. Tucker standing with a bomb in his hand,and his face was indifferent as always).
"What can I do for you two?
"Ummm... Mr. Tucker...we are here because of the vow, I told you about this yesterday"
"Aha... Yes you told something about... So this girl wants to take vow, ha?"
"Yes"
Ella's mind was sinking into different thoughts. The vow, Mr. Tucker, everything was spinning inside her head.How could she respond to this?! She was taking a vow in front of her Chemistry teacher about a box full of rubbish!
Mr. Tucker was searching something on his desk drawer. A few minutes later, he pulled a golden book out from his messy drawer. He then gave Ella a piece of paper and Ella took it without any blink as if she got spell bounded. Well, all she was seeing, some lines written in very eerie way. Fortunately her cognitive devices came into sense and told her that this might be written in another language.
"I can't read it"
"Ah! My bad! I need to remember that, you, young generation people are ignorant about the great ancient language" Mr. Tucker sighed.
A second later, he gave Ella another paper which was written in English.
"Fill this up and sign with this pen"
He offered her a pen which was quite heavy then it looked.
"That's all?"
"Yes, as far as I know"
" ...but Mr. Tucker won't you read her the vows and she'll repeat after you?" Jasson was surprised.
"We go modern boy,the Council decided that we should up to date some of our systems to match with young generation people" Ella couldn't find any difference on Mr. Tucker's talking, he was describing in a way which was not very different than his lectures that Oxygen and Hydrogen makes water.
After signing the paper, Ella felt kind of lighten . She felt like she did what she needed to do years ago. She wasn't restless anymore.

"What will happen if I break the vow?"
That afternoon, both were walking at Ballpin park.
"What do you think about Mashiro's death, Ella?"
" ummm....he was in a mission and.."
"He broke the vow"
Lucky was barking to see them silent.
"What was written on that paper Ella?
" I have to protect my realm from my enemies and the secrets of our world remain hidden with me."
"And you pledged your obedience to the Council" Jasson finished her sentence accurately.
"Result of breaking the vow is fatal Ella, that's why I told you to think very carefully and now you have signed the paper, you can't undo it."
Afternoon bridge was blowing gently. Kids were running, Lucky was playing. Suddenly the world seemed very large to Ella. No matter how people try to be powerful, knowledgable, to worlds mystery they are nothing.
"Take this Ella"
"Hmm?"
Jasson's voice brought back her sense.
"Take this" Jasson handed her a chain with a starry pendant." This is your key to connect with our kingdom. Every night before sleeping you have to wear it, or you can wear it whenever you want to contact"
"Okay"
"Ella, and remember one thing, don't keep wearing this all time, your enemies will be aware of you by the aura of this starry pendant."
"Enemies?? Here??
"Didn't you notice how many of us study at the same school?"
" ummm....is there anyone else?"
"Yes, there are other students who are just like us. They all are carrying stars somewhere in their bodies and our enemies are not very far from us. You know Beningrad High, four blocks from our school?"
"Hmmm"
"Well some of them are carrying Marks of Oleen" too, but a different one and we are not friendly enough to have a chat
"You know Jasson, I better go home now, it's all so confusing, I can't take this lot in one day"
" Welcome to the Guild of Stars, Ella... This is just beginning"
Ella didn't like his smile.
