Pendant

When she entered the house the yelling and vulgar words amplified, as if afraid that the whole village will not hear it.

"WHERE IS THAT USELESS B*TCH NOW? DOES SHE STILL KNOW TO COME BACK? WHO WILL COOK IF SHE DOESN'T COME BACK? DOES THAT USELESS THING STILL WANT ME TO COOK FOR HER?.....,"

Fortunately she went through the other door that is connected to the storage room, or she'll be bombarded by the witch if she used either the front or the kitchen door.

Instead of cooking as what they wanted her to do, she make her way to her room- the storage room- and locked it with a handmade rope she made earlier from a vine.

She have a injured foot, so she can't use her foot too much lest it gets worse; hence, let them cook it by themselves. Moreover, based on the original owner's memories they also didn't let the other 'Yun Tang' eat that much, even if she's the one who cook as the big witch stared at her like a thief.

In fact, even if the other 'Yun Tang' is a thief there's nothing really worth robbing in the house. There's no white grain nor brown rice, but just coarse grain which is really hard to swallow. They don't have a hen, so as eggs. They have a moldy brown sugar at home though, but it was tightly hidden by the witch as if she will steal it.

Yun Tang only snapped out of her thoughts when her eyes inadvertently glance on her bed. Truthfully, she already expected that she will not came back with the room not in tatters. That would be a miracle.

The room was meant to store woods, and other old stuff that the family was reluctant to throw away. The only good thing she have here is a small box that the original owner's mother gave to the other 'Yun Tang' which she hides behind the stacked of woods.

Although it is full of wood and scraps, but the original owner was a meticulous person; hence, it was clean and tidy. As for her bed, it was a stacked of wood with a woven nipa she made on top, a pillow stuffed with hay and a thin quilt that she made out of the family's old quilt and old clothes.

The room that was neat and tidy when she left earlier is now in disarray.

All the things that made her temporary bed- woods, woven nipa, pillow, quilt- was now on the floor. The hay inside the pillow is scattered on the ground. The quilt was cut into several sizes with dirt and footprints on it. The stacked of woods are thrown around the room.

Well, you can tell someone messed up her room with full hatred.

Seeing it like this, TangTang didn't look at those mess, but hurriedly and anxiously walked up to the stacked of woods where she put her small box. The bottom part of the stack of woods is still intact that made her breathe a little. She then look for the small box and finally found it.

It was only as big as a lunch box. It wasn't worth much, but it was only the original owners cherished belongings.

To be sure it wasn't opened or tampered, she immediately opened it and check if the things are all there.

A wooden comb, a pendant, old purse, copper coins, needle and thread and some old papers.

Fortunately, the original owners things are still here.

It was only then Yun Tang feel relieved at last.

'Wait!'

She looked curiously at the pendant in the box.

"Why does it look familiar?"

She look at it with scrutiny back and forth.

The pendant look like a low quality green stone with a unknown flower carved on it. The pendant was only tied with an ordinary worn out rope.
