Time

First Sight

Now, in order to be brief, let me tell you that this is my fifth week in this school and I am simply loving it! Al my friends are exceptionally nice and caring and Jessica, ( we all call her Jess ), is my new best friend.

So. Like everyday, we all sat down at our fixed table and it was Jess's turn to bring the trays of food. She kept them on the table and sat down next to me. Angel, Avril, and Jess began to talk about their dates and boyfriends. I did not join them because I was currently single.

So, I was sipping my Coke and looking around when I spotted a boy. I have seen so many boys before but this one seemed to capture my attention for some reason. He had beautiful, blue eyes and messy brown hair. His features were handsome, but this wasn't his beauty that was capturing me. Something was there in him, wether it's weird or special I don't know, but something was there that kept my gaze locked to him. He looked so...... familiar to me.

He turned around and looked at me but I had so become like a statue that I couldn't evev turned my heard around and all I was doing wa to stare at him. He waved at me but I did not show any movement, therefore he frowned his brows and shrugged his shoulders and began chewing his french toast.

Someone nudged me in my ribs. I turned around and saw Jess looking at me questioningly. I asked her low, so that the others don't hear it.

" Um Jess. Don't point, but turn around. Can you see that boy with blue eyes and blue shirt "? She turned around and almost squealed in excitement. " Oh yes! His name is Irwin Moscovitz. He's soooo cute right "?

I ignored that question and asked her again " Do you know him "? " Yes!" she squealed again. " he's so cute. Hey! He's looking at you! Not fair"!

I looked at him through the corner of my eyes. Indeed he was looking at me in an amused way. Then he got up from his chair and walked past uo to over Stefan and Alexander. He began talking with them and Jess stared at him.

" Ahem", I cleared my throat and asked tocontinue sipping her Coke. She nodded but then her eyes moved towards me and on top at me. I fell a body slid in next to me. I turned and saw that guy,O.k I mean Irwin, smiling at me. I smiled at him without any enthuiasm and turned my head around. Our shoulders were brushing, so I slid away an inch.

Jess began to talk. Worse after finishing about herself, she began telling him about me to him. I glared at her for doing so and she glared at me back. Wow! * read sarcastically *.

Like I really want someone to know about me whom I don't know and that too WITHOUT my permission. Although it was Jess who did the major blabbering part, Irwin only nodded and smiled. Then he leaned over and whispered to Jess, but not so low that I couldn't hear. " She's beautiful ". He said. Jess stared at him, with eyes wide open.

" Yes." she continued. " So, um, Irwin. What classes do you have " ? And as I knew my luck we had Trig. Bio. and English in common. But Jess was very happy., thinking that she had these three classes in common with him. So after Irwin left, I asked her,

" Jess. What was that "? " What was what "? she questioned me. " You were practically FLIRTING with that guy "! I cried. " So "? She asked. " What so "? " You have a boyfriend let me remind you if you are forgetting ", I was shocked.

" Oh Ivy "! ( everyone here calls me Ivy. This is my name's short form); she cried. " Alex does not mind the fact that I have a crush on Irwin. He promised he won't mind if I am not touchy with Irwin.

Wow! I couldn't help thinking. A boy doesn't seem to mind his girlfriend having a crush on another guy, and flirting with him, AND getting very very happy of having same classes with him! GREAT! I guess that if Alex is not minding then there's no use of me to mind Jess either.

The bell rang and I got up to get ready for my Bio. class. Unfortunately I ran into a boy in the corridor who wasted fifteen minutes of my precious time, talking randomly about some nonsense stuff he's been watching on T.V.

Apparently, I was the last one to reach my class. I coudn't find any place to sit and ended up sitting next to Irwin.

 '' Hi ", he said to me. I smiled at him weakly and said hi. The teacher walked in and there was silence. 

" Class " she announced. " Today all of you are required to give a surprise test ". There were groans and murmurs of dissaproval all around me. Miss Evenson frowned at us and we hushed again.

" You will be given a microscope and a slide with five plant cells. You will have to identify and name them on this sheet of paper. And whoever is sitting next to you is your Bio. partner throught the semester. But mind you that today's test will have individual markings. All the best ".

I groaned inwardly. Irwin! My Bio. partner throught the semester! Why! Anyways the microscope was in front of us and I started giving the test.

I hate to admit the fact that Irwin's a very good student. He got all five correct whereas I got only four. The second highest in the whole class. The teacher was very impressed with him amd even patted his back.

After everyone had submitted their papers the teacher again annoinced. 

" Class. Tomorrow we all will have a field trip to La Push. It's gonna be two days and one night stay there. I want all of you to participate in that because surely we are going to have a lot of fun there ". 

There was cheering and clapping arond me. God. A field trip! How many times in one day should I must be shocked. I have a terrible motion sickness problem and I am surely to throw up if I travel for a long time in a vehicle. But anyway I gave my name, thinking it was a good idea to have fun since all my friends were going, including Irwin.

Thank God the day ended soon and I started walking towards the parking lot.

 " Ivy "! Someone called my name from behind. Needless to say it was Irwin. I turned around and saw him running towards me and stopping and panting for breath. " Oh Irwin. Hi. Why are you panting for breath "? I questioned him.

 "Ivy ", he said in between breaths. " I found that you left your phone in the locker. I also saw that you forgot to lock your locker. I realized that you must be very worried about it and everything so I decided to give it to you at once ". I was impressed by him a bit.

" How sweet of you Irwin.  Thankyou very much ". I said. He smiled and his eyes brightened up. His eyes were beautiful,actually he himself was very beautiful. His eyes were much better than my green atleast.

Irwin's P.O.V. >>>>>>>

I saw her staring at me in the cafeteria. I did not know who she was but saw that she was very beautiful and inviting. I wanted to establish friendly relations with her at any cost. I got up and and sat next to her. Jessica was so nice that she began talking about her and I even whispered to her that Ivy's beautiful. Her eyes were so rare a green and beautiful that I could see myself commiting for all eternity for them. I was even more happy when she sat next to me and was my Bio. partner for the next full year. I saw that she forgot her cell in the loker and ran to give it to thinking that if she did not find it, she'll be terribly worried. 

I was very happy when she said " How sweet of you Irwin ", in her soft, melodious voice. I said her goodbye and watched her as she dissapreared in the parking lot. I am so excited about tomorrow. She'll be going and have full intentions to make her sit next to me in the bus.
