Chapter 3

Alexa's POV -

I woke up from my slumber and turned to face my clock. The time was 1:00pm.. Oh god! I had overslept. It was the day of the party and I still needed to go and get an outfit. I quickly stood up and got dressed into some ripped jeans and a crop top. I grabbed my phone from the side and quickly sent my friend Amy a message.

To Amy:

Hiiiii, Please can you come shopping with me as soon as possible? I have nothing to wear for the party and I'm freaking out, Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee xxxx

After running around the house looking for some money and everything, I bumped into my mum. I looked up at her to see she looked upset. "Mum? Whats up?" I asked worriedly. "Oh Nothing, Just me and your Dad arguing" she said. I should have guessed. I rolled my eyes and checked my phone to see if Amy had replied.

From Amy:

Helloooo, Sure I can! You leave everything last minute haha! Ill be round in 10 minutes, be ready! xxxx

I sighed in relief and said to my mum "I'm going out tonight so I'm going shopping with Amy". She smiled halfheartedly and nodded before walking back into the room my Dad was in.

I stood there for a few minutes checking I had everything when I heard a knock on the door. I ran to the door and opened it to see Amy stood there. "Hi!" I said as she smiled at me. "Hello, Come on let's go!" She giggled. I nodded and walked out the door. We talked and hopped on a bus making our way to the shops.

A few hours later and we were still looking around shops. I had almost give up hope until I spotted my favourite shop. River Island. I smiled widely and skipped into the shop with Amy following behind me laughing at my every move. I walked in and my eyes spotted a lovely two piece outfit with flowers on. It was beautiful, I had to get it. "Amy what do you think about this?" I shouted to her. She walked over and smiled "I love it, you have to try it on". Reaching for my size, I walked to the changing room with Amy at my side.

I walked into a changing room. Slipping the outfit off the hanger and onto my body, I turned to look in the mirror. Wow! I actually looked really nice. I took a picture of it on me in the mirror and slipped it back onto the hanger. As soon as I exited the changing room, I dashed for the checkout to pay for it. I bought some heels and a bag which matched the outfit and walked out happily with Amy.

I pulled out my phone and showed Amy the picture of me wearing the outfit. She smiled widely and said " Wow! You look great! Who are you trying to impress?". She giggled and winked at me. "Nobody..." I blushed. But we all knew that was a lie. In reality, I wanted to impress a certain curly haired boy. But no one had to know that.
