As we walked into the class, there were already two or three kids there. But they were just freshmen so they really didn't know me. Audrey and I went to the very back of the class in the far left corner. In a couple more minutes the class started filling up, every few people would come in and laugh. I just sat there and pulled my hood over my head.
Audrey rubbed my back "everything is going to be ok". Ms. Grain, our teacher, began her lesson. But, before anything she had to call my name and tell me to pull of my hood because it was against school policy. After that, every damn person knew exactly where i was and turned to look and stare.
Throughout the first five or ten minutes all I heard out of that rached womans mouth was "BLAH BLAH BLAH, BLAH BLAH, BLAH BLAH, AFRICA'S ECONOMY, BLAH BLAH BLAH, MOUNT EVEREST" and so on. Then, all of a sudden there was a great bunch of movement and it was coming exactly in my direction.
Sal, the girl in front of me gave it to me and whispered "it's from Chad" and then turned around. Audrey saw that I had a note but just glanced, I could totes tell that she was trying to read it. I unfolded the piece of paper really slow so that nobody would really notice, not that anyone would.
" Hey, i swear that it wasn't me that sent the damn text to everyone, you know that I wouldn't do that, and all the stuff that Eve said you should know that I can't believe she said that and I didn't want it to get to you."
I cannot believe he decided to send it to me and God damn now he's got a lot of nerve. I really didn't know what to say though, but I know that the teacher did because she called on me as soon as she saw that I had a note."Savannah, I hope that you are listening back there because we have a test on this in two more. And you need to make a good grade for the beginning of the year"
I just nodded my head and said "oh yeah of course I'm listening" just like any other person would but after I said that all I could think about was Chad. He was in the front row, well more like to the middle, on the left side of the room.
I didn't really want to make eye contact because that would make it even worse for me. Still, I had absolutely no clue that this was going to turn into something wayyyyy more than just a note.
