The next morning I awaken to the sound of my fathers footsteps,"Thump.Thump.Thump." He's coming down the hallway. I hear the same old creek of the door and the squeaky floor board. He comes in and sits beside me."I know you heard us talking yesterday," He says. "I just want you to know that everything will be fine. I get that it's hard to move from one house to another, but look on the bright side. You still get to stay in the same neighborhood and be with your friends." Then he pauses. "Just think about it." He says. Then he gives me a kiss on the cheek and walks over to the door and closes it as he heads to work. Today we are looking at another house. I walk into the bathroom to get ready. I grab my hair brush and start to stroke my long silky hair. It goes all the way to my butt when it's down so it takes forever to brush it,so I brush for a good fifteen minutes then i run to the car. This next house wasn't ugly, but it wasn't great. It needed a lot of work. The house was super old. I'm pretty sure I saw dust on everything.  My mom didn't seem to be into it. That was considering the fact that they were asking for a ton of money. Another disappointment. We got back into the car and drove home. When we got back it was dinner time. My mom started cooking my favorite, ham. My dad walked through the door happily. He must have good news. He whispered something into her ear and she smiled with excitement. What are they up to? I hope this doesn't mean that they found a house. "Dinners ready!" says mom. Then out of the deep my sisters emerge. They've been in there since we got home. I walk over to the table and sit down. "OK everyone," says my dad. He sounds like he's a mayor or something giving a speech . "I have an announcement, we are not buying a house," he says. Phew! Finally, but he keeps talking. "Instead we are going to build our own!" "ya!!!" said brook and Liz. "Ya." I say. After dinner I go straight to bed. I don't even have time to think. I just lay in bed and sleep. I usually sleep in on Saturdays but my dad came in and woke me up early. When I got out of bed everyone was already in the car. "Where are we going?" I asked. "Were gonna go check out the land where were gonna build our house." He said. I got in the car and buckled my seat belt. To my surprise the drive was incredibly short, in fact I think we just crossed the street. We are building our house here? That's not that bad. Maybe the farmer gave my dad some land. Our house is completely surrounded by corn fields. On all sides. We stopped and got out of the car. There wasn't any corn growing now because it's summer so it just looked like a big square of dirt. My dad took out a shovel and started to dig. I don't know why but he was digging. It had something to do with the house. Eventually he stopped digging and said something to my mom. "Come on guys" said mom. I hopped into the car. As we were on our way home my mom checked the mail. There was a strange letter that seemed to have caught her eye. I could tell what it was. someone bought our house. There also was another letter. I couldn't quite make out what it said, but it wasn't good. Based on my moms face it was really bad.
