Nevaeh's POV
I wake up to a blurry vision of my parents at the end of my bed, I rub my eyes and stretch letting out a long sigh.My parents shout " Happy Birthday Jellybean!" I let out a small giggle with a smile planted on my face and murmur a small "thank you."
Before they file out of my room I hear " Get ready for the afternoon lunch we are taking you too, but don't take too long." From my dad. I give a soft smile and nod.
I roll out of bed and run to my bathroom quickly hopping in my shower. I can't wipe the cheese grin off my face, I am finally 18 and done high school. I step out of my shower wrapping my hair up in a towel and a towel around my body. I then happily skip to my walking closet. My parents aren't very wealthy but they always insist on giving me the best of the best, no matter how much I object. I pick out my mint green and white polka dotted summer tank dress. I then pair it with my black flats. I quickly straighten my wavy brunette hair and trow it up into a neat high ponytail.
I bound down the stairs and find my parents in the kitchen at the island, sitting on the bar stools. They are smiling and pointing at photos in one of the many photo albums. They hear me enter, and watch as I pour myself a glass of orange juice and poor them some coffee. I drink my juice as I finish preparing their coffee. I hand them their coffee with a smile.
"Thank you dear" spoke my mother, as my dad smiles and nodds in agreement.
I join them sitting around the island table and we look at the many photos of our little family. My parents hand me a really heavy wrapped box, I open it and am surprised, there is a kitchen aid mixer inside. I burst with joy because u love to bake and immediately envelope my parents in a huge hug.
"Thank you so much!" I shriek.
An hour later they hurry me into the car and we are heading to lunch.
