Shikamaru's POV
I was lying down by the gates resting my eyes when a confident voice wakes me from my daze. "Get up crybaby, we have a mission you know." Sigh. I mutter "troublesome woman." And we started off to the Village Hidden in the Palm Trees.
After about 5 hours Temari begins to pick up her speed greatly. "Temari why are you running so fast, we are not in a rush." I ask slightly annoyed
"Maybe you aren't but some of us aren't as lazy as you and want to get a good distance in before we set up camp for the night, it's getting dark anyway." She replied snappily.
We ran for about 45 minutes more until we found a nice area to rest for the night. Temari gets her tent and I reach for mine but come up short. Did I forget my tent?!! Shit, what a drag.
"Temari.. I forgot my tent. I will just set up a fire and sleep beside it, it's a nice night anyway." She laughs. "Wow you're a crybaby and an idiot, do as you please." Once I get the fire going Temari and I sit down on a log and I ask why she was needed to come on this mission since it's a B rank. "Well Lady Tsunade has never sent anyone to this village and I've gone there on various occasions so she asked me to show you the way." I nod. That makes sense, I didn't even realize she's been leading the way. We sat their in comfortable silence until she announced she was going to bed and disappeared into her tent. I was slightly disappointed but brushed it off and lied down on the ground, I star-gazed for awhile with my hands behind my head until I slowly drifted out of consciousness.

Temari's POV

Ugh I can't seem to sleep. I shifted around for awhile till I decided to go for a short walk to try to drain some energy. I walked out of my tent to see Shikamaru sleeping peacefully, his face glowing from the dying fire. He looked quite cute when he's not complaining about how much of a drag everything is. What a weird thought. I walked around for about 25 minutes until I got tired and went to bed.
