Today was going to be the first day of school, and Ana and I planned on walking together. We haven't talked much since we met but she seems a little strange. She doesn't eat much, and her skinniness is overwhelming.
I looked in the mirror at my dull completion. Ana has such beautiful blue eyes and long, gorgeous, shiny black hair.

My empty brown eyes stared back at me and my dirty blonde hair hung limply around my face with no shine at all. I shrugged it off and got dressed into a pale pink sweater, a black skater skirt, black infinity scarf, and combat boots. Before running down the stairs for breakfast.

My Mom set a huge stack of pancakes, coated with melted butter and sugary syrup in front of Sam and I. I took about four (which is the usual) and put them on my plate before adding yet more syrup.

After breakfast I packed my lunch with a sandwich, grapes, soda, brownies, cheez-its, and goldfish. I walked across the street heading to Ana's house and timidly knocked on the door. The door immediately swung open to reveal my new perfect looking friend. She was wearing a pair of washed out skinny jeans, white low cut converse, and a maroon sweatshirt. Her beautiful hair was pulled back in a sleek ponytail.
"Ready to go?" She asked, popping a tic tac in her mouth.
"Uh, yea." I muttered suddenly feeling lousy compared to her perfect looks.
"Well then let's go!" She smiled heading down the sidewalk, her ever so perfect legs so small that they looked like sticks.
