Dead Zone

There was this place I would always hear about in school. It was in the middle of a old forest and kids would go and play in the park next to it and wonder into it. They would be missing for about 3-4 days then show up laying on the ground dead just a few feet into the forest. It was like there was some kind of curse set know it or something. But I noticed that each victim was sopping wet with ivy on them. It seemed like they fell in a pond or lake and drowned but further examination shows that they never did.

It was strange. The rate of people dieing sped up from 1 person a month to 3 a month. They had to find what ever did this and fast. So they made everyone stay away from the forest until they figured out what's going on. But that didn't stop it. They would find a way in. But when I got close enough it felt like it was the one doing. What i mean is at the time I thought the forest was doing it. But I shook it off and thought it was crazy a forest can kill people. But it turns out I was right all along.

They forest gave off a mist that was toxic but it was undetectable so you wouldn't know you where breathing it in. But they couldn't explain them being sopping wet. So they just ignored it and closed off the forest for good but ooccasionally you will see people standing in it just looking at you. Like they seem to be trapped.

But you can't figure out what to do. So you feel help less. But what I found to be weird that those people who where the ones found dead. And they can't go anywhere else except in the forest. The others didn't see then but I knew they where there. And will always be there.
