Demi's POV

I am recently not dealing with my career and it started getting boring being all alone in this massive house and My mom keeps tellin me to get another dog but I don't want another dog I have batman, so I decided that I was going to go for a drive when I saw an orphanage called sunshine home for girls and i thought about it for a while at the red light and as strange as it sounds i felt the need to visit and find my little soulmate and I know that's not something you just think of but something was telling me to, so I pulled in the parking lot and I was looking in the age range between 2-7 so I walked in and I saw many children they were all so adorable ahh! I went to the front desk and there stood a lady named miss Lainie she was a grumpy lady but I pushed that aside as she asked " How Can I Help You? " I said "I would like to adopt a little girl in the age range of 2-7" she said "ok will go get them ready so you can "pick" who u like" it's like I was adopting a pet not a child but I just smiled and said "alright so i waited there while she went to go get those cute little faces"

Miss Lainie's POV

I walked up to get all the girls that miss Lovato? wanted too see I got all of them ready in line, as they stood there I forgot one child it was Bentlii
I went too her room but she was no where to be found. I looked every for her and I told miss Lovato, there is one more girl , she said gladly "I can wait!" I walked out side to the back yard and there she sat, I walked up to her and told her to come inside.

Bentlii's POV

I was in the backyard just daydreaming as I felt someone tap my shoulder I flinched instantly and screamed "please don't hurt me daddy" then I realized it was Miss Lainie, she told me too come inside I was wondering why, so I followed her and I noticed my Idol Demi Freaking Lovato and I went totally shy. I saw some of the other girls and I spotted Delia she hates me she and her friends always picked on me for whatever reason they felt necessary. As I walked in they gave me an ugly look and whispered to each other and I knew they were talkin about me, they started to point and laugh at me and Miss Lainie told them too "get in check".  Demi came in and looked at each of us I was last, Delia told Demi that I was a freak and I was not worth adopting, I bursts into quiet tears, Demi told her that what she said wasn't nice, Delia gave me a look as Demi got closer and closer to me. Delia silently mouthed to me Demi was picking her and she bursts into laughter I just ignored her. Demi finally got to me after talking to all the other pretty girls "surely she would choose one of them" I thought to myself. I started to panic because I was so shy, when she got too me, she asked me If i was ok, i nodded "you don't talk much" I shrugged my shoulders, she said to me, "don't listen to what Delia said, she's just a bully" I smiled and nodded okay.

Demi's POV

I saw as Miss Lainie brought in a young girl, she looked younger than what I was looking for but she got put in the line, as I went down the line of girls I found a girl named Delia, she was bragging about EVERYTHING then she started sayin mean things to the young girl I'm guessing named Bentlii? I instantly knew I didn't want her, I moved on down the line and I finally got to Bentlii, she was so shy, I told her not to listen to what Delia said she nodded. I noticed she didn't talk much all she did was shrugg her shoulders and nod her head, but I knew who I was going to choose. She really was the only one that stood out to me and the only one I fell in love with. I went to find miss Lainie and tell her who I chose. Miss lainie seemed confused and she seemed so angry/irritable. Lainie said " you're making a big mistake!" I simply wouldn't believe her, she finally gave me her information after a long moment of disbelief. I signed the adoption papers and I went to go find Bentlii and I relized she wasn't there, then I heard sobs coming from upstairs I followed the sound of the sobs into Bentlii's room and I was horrified to see three girls hitting her, one of which were Delia. I hurried and picked Bentlii up and gave them "the look" and they scattered, I asked her if she was ok she shook her head and said "n- n-no". I started to comfort her as she was just assaulted and seemed to be at the start of a panic attack, i told her to match my heart beat, she soon evened out her breathing, I asked her if she would like to go home with me, she nodded and said "r-really?" I nodded and said "of course baby", a smile so big and bright grew across that beautiful little face of hers, "that's what I like to see" I said to her, I tickled her slightly she giggled the most adorable giggle I've ever heard, I told her too pack her bags, she got up and grabbed a picture from under her pillow, a book and a little bear that's all she grabbed she said "that's all I have" I felt sadness in me to know she has nothin but a picture which I could not see, a book and a bear. I said "alright baby girl lets get out of here, how does that sound?" she nodded and so we left.

Bentlii's POV

I was in the line waiting for Demi to come back when all of the sudden, I was grabbed by my hair and a hand went over my mouth it was Delia and her two friends, they drug me too my room and started beating me until I was picked up by Demi and she screamed at them and they scattered. I was starting to have a panic attack when I felt calmed by her heart beat and her love, she asked me if I wanted to go home with her, I of course nodded my head and I asked her if she was sure? she nodded and told me too pack my things, which were only a picture of me and my mommy before she went to heaven, (which made me sad)and a bear my mommy gave me and the book my mommy always used to read to me before bedtime. That was all I had and all I needed, Demi looked a little sad but I tried to shake it off she said "we should get outta here huh?" I nodded I was glad I was gettin away from all the mean people at the orphanage.

Demi's POV

We headed to our car I had already had a booster seat in my trunk from when my little sister was a baby, so I put her in that just until we got to target, when we arrived at target I grabbed her hand as we made our way to that isle to pick out a booster seat, I asked her which one she wanted and I told her she could choose whichever one she liked, so she picked out one with little pink elephants on it she seemed to love it, her eyes lit up, so I grabbed it and went to the check out line, I put it in the car and I buckled her in and started on line drive to the house, the whole drive she stared out the window, when we got home I unbuckled Bentlii who turned out to be asleep, which I didn't notice but I decided to let her sleep, I snapped a shot of her and saved it to my camera roll. At 3:00 pm she woke up screaming, "don't hurt me daddy!", so I quickly ran to her and started shaking her tiny body softly, she didn't budge I grabbed a water bottle from the coffee table and poured a little on her face, her eyes shot open and she sat up and started to cry, I said "shhhh baby girl you're okay, I'm here baby, nobody can hurt you ever again, just breath in and out.....in and out" she followed what I said and calmed down, I asked her if she wanted to talk about it, she shook her head, I sighed and said alright, I asked if she was hungry she shook her head, I then noticed she was scared, so I knew she didn't just not, want to eat, she was scared to eat, i asked her why she didn't want to eat, she said because she "wasn't hungry", but it looked like she hadn't ate in days, so I said please tell me why you don't want to eat, she said "because Delia said I was too fat and that I should kill my self", I felt a lump form in my throat and tears stream down my face, but she quickly wiped them away, she said "don't cry Demi, I'm sorry I made you sad", I said to her " you didn't make me sad sweetheart, what those mean girls said are what made me sad.", sweetie you are not "fat", and even if you were "chunky" it wouldn't be a bad thing, just like being "thin" isn't a bad thing, now how about we order some pizza?, she nodded, so I ordered pizza, we ate it as we watched Frozen, she was thrilled by it, by the end of the movie, she had started to yawn and rub her eyes with her tiny little hands, she snuggled into me, my heart was so warm and full, I was the happiest I had ever been, I was so happy, she then asked me, if it was okay that she did that, I said "absolutely baby" she laid backdown and soon, I heard little tiny snores escape her little mouth, it was the cutest thing, I snapped a pic and turned my phone off and sat it down, I started to get tired my self, so we curled up next to each other, before I knew it I kissed her head and said "I love you baby" and drifted off to sleep.
