Enjoy:)

Chapter one.

"How do you wake a high school senior whose worst habit is sleeping in almost everyday and then taking out his anger on his best friend's arm?"

"Um..."

"You smack them with a pillow and face your doom."

The redhead grinned and took the pillow from the 14 year old's grasp, preparing himself to smack his best friend with it.

He took a swing and smacked the sleeping brunet boy, also known as Sage, across the face. It didn't take long before green eyes met baby blue ones. Sage let out a deep growl, took the pillow from his friend's hands and smacked him back.

"I hate you."

Adam grinned and threw himself in Sage's arms, nuzzling his neck and inhaling deeply. "Ah, I missed you, sunshine."

"I thought he has a boyfriend already..." Vanessa, Sage's younger sister, spoke pointing an accusing finger at Adam.

"Oh, he has." Sage growled and smacked Adam on the back of his head. "Move your fat ass off of me, before I throw you out over the balcony."

By this time Vanessa had already left the room so the two boys could 'talk' while she went to get ready for school.

"But, baby, I missed you so much over the weekend." Adam whined back in the room and clung tighter to Sage who was still laying in bed.

"Bitch, I'm not joking. I'll throw you out if you don't get up. I count to three."

Adam sighed and stood up. "You're no fun."

"I would much rather you go find someone else to cheat on your boyfriend with." Sage let out a sigh of his own and sat up in bed.

"I'm not cheating. You're like a brother to me."

"Is this how you act around your brothers?" Sage raised an eyebrow.

"It took them some time getting used to it, but now everything's fine." Adam shrugged, pulling Sage's desk chair out and sitting on it. "And besides, I'd never cheat on Ash, even if it meant having that sexy ass of yours around my manhood. Nuh-uh." he shook his head with a disapproving scowl.

Sage let out a chuckle. "I'll go shower and we can leave." he stood up and headed for the shower that was attached to his bedroom.

20min later a very wet and very naked Sage walked out of the bathroom, giving Adam the opportunity to eye rape him while he changed into new clothes. Instead, the 17 year old redhead chuckled at his phone screen and typed something away fast.

Just as Sage, Adam and Vanessa were about to leave the house there was the unmistakable sound of something crashing. Sage sighed and ran his hand through his hair.

"Here," he gave Adam his car keys. "Wait for me in the car."

Adam took Vanessa's hand in his and led her out of the house and to Sage's car. He unlocked the car, pulling the backseat door open so the girl could climb in. After she was settled, he closed the door and got in the passenger's seat.

Mother raised a gentleman, he thought as he looked at Vanessa's frowning face from the rear view mirror. He sighed silently and turned the radio on just as Sage walked out of the house and made it to the car. He threw the driver's door open, hopping in and slamming it closed.

"He's here today and tomorrow. I'll see what I can do." he said, looking at his sister. She nodded, but didn't look up at him. "Hey, don't worry. I'll think of something." he reassured the girl and felt anger boiling up inside of him when her body shook a little.

This was all his parent's fault. Why couldn't they just keep it together? Why couldn't they just act like everything was okay, at least when he and Vanessa were around? Why couldn't they just stop all the yelling, fighting, drinking and abusing? Yes, their parents were abusive, but it was only because of the alcohol. Or at least that's what Sage liked to think every night as held his crying sister, feeling his cheek throb violently.

He sighed and turned around, deciding that it would be better if they weren't later three days in a row. He put the car in drive and took off to the school as Adam searched through his CD collection.

"Who's up for some Bring me the Horizon?" the redhead, blue eyed boy asked, looking around the car for any signs of objection from the two siblings.

When none came, he smiled softly and put the CD in, blasting Don't Go and singing along every now and again.

**

Sage pulled up the hill over the school and put the car to sleep as his sister and best friend left to get to school. Sage stayed in the car, thinking through this plan of his.

He would talk to Kristina, his other best friend, if Vanessa could spend the night over. Kristina had a 14 year old brother too so at least it wouldn't be boring for the younger teen. Sage didn't really mind his sister dating anyone as long as they didn't hurt her. Tomorrow after school they'd hang out around Kristina's house. When they'd made it home, Sage would take yet another slap, or worse, from his father for 'not taking care of his sister properly'.

Well he didn't exactly stay quiet either. When their parents start giving them shit, Sage's inner bitch snaps and comes out full force.

That usually led to a throbbing cheek and a sobbing Vanessa, but it he couldn't let his parents talk like that to his sister.

He sighed and opened the car door, stepping out and closing slamming the door shut. Sage pulled out a pack of cigarettes, grabbing one a lighting it up. He inhaled sharply, the smoke scratching at his neck lightly before reaching his lungs. He exhaled and felt more calm almost instantly. He turned around to head for the school, but let out a startled yelp when he saw a figure right in his face.

"Damn it, you bitch! Why didn't you just tell me you were still here?" Sage growled out as Adam grinned and slung an arm around his best friend's shoulders.

"I wanted to surprise you, and besides, you need some distraction. I can't let you walk to school alone. Who knows in what mood you'll be when you get there. Face it, you need me." the redhead grinned and brought Sage's hand, which was holding the cigarette, to his lips. Capturing the little cancer stick between his lips, Adam inhaled and swallowed the smoke, blowing it out of his nose. He inhaled again, the cigarette still being placed between his lips. He removed it softly and exhaled the smoke, sighing. "I love these little bitches."

Sage chuckled. Adam may be annoying sometimes, but he sure as hell cared extremely much about his 17 year old best friend. And he always knew how to lighten up his mood.
