***Closing Statements, Kat's POV***

I was giving my closing statement today as was Mr. Wayzetta. I have a good feeling that the jury is on our side.

"Miss Valkryie, your closing statements please."

"Your honor, ladies and gentleman of the jury, my client has proven himself innocent. He had no motive for the murder. He was courteous to Rose Weathers. Mr. Olson did not cause her trouble and she did not cause him trouble. The surveillance tape clearly showed someone else walk in ten minutes after Mr. Olson left. This person was obviously taller than my client. Mr. Olson was mistaken as someone else. I ask you to look at my client as if it was your son, your friend, your brother, your father, your uncle. I ask you to see this man as the innocent man he is." I stated clearly. "Mr. Olson may be in a scary band. I will not lie to you, as I was doing my research, I got a little freaked out seeing these men in all black and screaming. But during my research, I also came across joyous interviews and multiple people saying that they were the kindest, most down to earth people you'd ever meet. Their message as a band is simple: treat everyone as you want to be treated. And that's what they do. Please consider that if you say that this man is guilty, he'll be taken away from his family, his girlfriend, his friends, and his fans. All of whom mean the world to him. That is all I have to say, your honor."

"Men and women of the jury, please follow the bailiff to your decision room." They did as they were told. "Everyone else, court will reconvene when the jury has made their decision."

***Two Weeks Later, Ricky's POV***

Two weeks. It took two weeks for the jury to make a decision. I'm hoping that it's good.

"You ready, Rick?" Chris asked.

"Yeah. Did Kat already leave?"

"Mhm. She told me to give you this. I'll be downstairs." Chris handed me a folded piece of paper then walked out. I opened it up and saw a gold chain.

Sorry that I had to leave early. It's a requirement on a day like today. Wrap this around your wrist. It's my good luck charm. I just so happened to be wearing it when I fell in love with you. I love you so very much no matter what happens. Just know that.

Xoxo,

Kat.

I wrapped the chain around my wrist then folded the letter and put it in my pocket. I'm glad to have her my side. Time to know if I get to completely be free again.

***Courtroom***

Everyone was standing. The head juror person was about to read the verdict.

"We the jury find the defendant, Richard Olson, not guilty." All the guys cheered. I was so happy that I couldn't even move. The bailiff came over and took off my tracker bracelet.

"Mr. Olson, you are free to go." The judge stated with a smile. I nodded then turned to Kat. Without even thinking, I grabbed her and kissed her passionately. She didn't pull away, just kissed me back as she wrapped her arms around my neck.

"I love you so much Kat." I mumbled against her lips.

"I love you too Ricky." She replied.

"You and I are going to celebrate tonight." I whispered. She giggled lightly and nodded. I really love this girl.

"I'm making you dinner tonight. At my place." Kat said as we walked out of the courtroom.

"I like the sound of that." I replied, kissing her cheek lightly.

***Kat's Place, Kat's POV***

I had made Ricky and I dinner. A simple salad with my famous out-of-the-box breadsticks. Not 'oh yeah, I made these myself' out-of-the-box. The 'I bought these in the freezer section of the grocery store' out-of-the-box.

"This is really good baby." He said with a mouthful of salad. I couldn't help but giggle at his cuteness.

"Thank you, babe." I replied. There was a knock at the door. "I'll be right back. You keep eating." I pecked Ricky's cheek then went to answer the door. I opened it and was faced with my ex-husband.

"Hey Kat." He said.

"What do you want, Luke?" I sighed.

"I came to pick up the wedding ring. We talked about this."

"I'll go get it. Stay right here." Like he would listen. I heard him step inside. I quickly ran to my room and grabbed the ring. As I was walking back out, I saw Ricky and him talking. And it didn't look good.

"When were you going to tell me you were sleeping with a murderer, Kat?" Luke asked.

"I'm not sleeping with a murderer because my boyfriend was proven innocent. And it wouldn't matter if I was or not, were not married anymore, Luke." I said, getting pissed off. "Take the ring and leave. I'm trying to have a nice evening with my boyfriend." I gave him the ring then shoved him out of house, shutting and locking the door. "I'm sorry-"

"Don't be. Come on, let's finish our dinner." Ricky said, kissing me softly. I couldn't help but smile. I've got the perfect man.

***That Night***

"Ricky!" I giggled. He kept on tickling me.

"I'll stop if you tell me you love me." He laughed.

"Alright! I love you, Ricky." I laughed. He leaned down and kissed me passionately.

"I love you too." He replied softly. I grinned and pecked his lips.

"I have to say, even though this is my place, your house feels more like a home." I said.

"Really?"

"Really. I think I spent more time at your house in the past few months then I have in my own." I replied, stroking his nose. Ricky grabbed my finger and kissed the tip.

"I may have a deal for you, Miss Valkryie."

"What is that?"

"Move in with me."

"What?"

"I really like having you around. I like waking up with you next to me. Plus I really love you."

"I really love you too, Ricky. So yeah, I'll accept your deal. I'll move in with you." Ricky smiled widely then kissed me hard.

I guess I'm moving in with Ricky. Haha. I'm so excited.
