Chapter one: JOB JOB JOB

              Chapter one: Ellie P.O.V

        Today was the day I would be dropping off all my applications one by one at different locations. After about a year of convincing my parents a job was not a distraction from school they finally agreed to let me get a job. My parents were both lawyers and just like every busy lawyer they were rarely home. Growing up I was closer to my nanny's that watched me.

Filling out applications wasnt as easy as i always thought. The questions asked were always something like "Whats your name?" "What skills can you bring to the company/store?" "Special skills?". What I wanted to put was "My names Ellie White." "I can take care of myself." "Not really.". But, what I really put is "My names Ellie white." "I'm motivated." "I can work independently or in a team."  After I finished filling the exact same answers on each applications I grabbed my keys.

I dropped off each application one by one. The last one to drop off was for a coffee shop called Dripp. Dripp was basically the hangout spot if you needed somewhere for homework or open mic nights. Ive always meant to go to an open mic night but I havent been able too. If I was being honest Dripp was where i wanted to work. I texted my best friend Sky to come and meet up and grab some coffee which she replied with a be there in 5.

As soon as you walk into Dripp the aroma of coffee surronds you. Everyone was in a calm mood chatting or on their laptop. It had wood walls with christmas lights basing the walls. Everything had a vintage almost hipster look to it.

"Hi Welcome to Dripp what can i get ya?"

I looked up and was greeted by a girl. She was gorgeous she had Long blonde hair and blue eyes. She was looking at me expectally with a big smile, "Oh yeah sorry I'm here to turn in an application." I answered.

"Finally its about time Martha asked for help around here, I'm Ashley." She said extending a hand.

"Ellie." I said with a small smile.

"Well, I'll make sure she gets this." she said with a smile.

"Thanks can i also get a vanilla latte." I said.

"sure thing."

By the time Sky got here I'd say Ashley and I were borderline friends. She was really cool and honestly pretty peppy.  I waved off to Ashley and headed over to the table sky sat down at.                                   
"Hey!" sky said, "Hows job hunt going?" she asked.

"Good actually, I think i made a friend here so hopefully that'll put a good word in for me." I answered .

"That's good ." She said, "Don't turn around but there is the most gorgeous boy behind you ." She said in a hushed tone .

"Well when you say not to look it makes me want to look ." I groaned .

"He passed your good." She said .

"Well I'm gonna go get more to drink so- oh crap I'm sorry." I said as I was getting up and walking away I ran into something or someone.

"It's fine ." A voice said with a deep chuckle . I looked up and my brown eyes connected with the most intriguing hazel eyes. I looked at him and took in each of his features. He had brown hair tousled into a beanie and his were so warm and welcoming . Although, he held a smirk there was a kind of sadness to him .

"Cmon El We gotta go your moms calling your phone." Sky said eyeing him and me .

"Yeah umm sorry again ." I said before heading out . Walking out all I could think about was his hazel eyes .

The next morning I was woken up by my phone ringing from an unknown number, "Hello ?" I answered groggily,

"Hi this is Martha the owner of Dripp I was wondering if you could come on down around noon for an interview ?" The voice answered .

"Oh yeah sure I'll be there ." I answered calmly yet inside I was screaming.

"See you at 12 pm sharp bye bye ." She said before hanging up . As soon as she hung up I started jumping on my bed .

"Eloise dear what's all that noise ?" My mother asked coming into my room .

"Oh umm nothing mom I just got an A on my history exam ." I answered flopping onto the bed .

"Alright  well your father and I won't be home next Tuesday -Thursday so call if you need anything ."

As if your home already so much...

"Alright mother ." I said "love you ." But she was already gone ..

I checked my clock and realized it was 10:45 so, I called sky to tell her the news after screamed a bit she congratulated me . After I got ready I got in my car and headed off to hopefully my new job .
