"Friendlies will be moving in and out of this fort to transport goods to neighboring allied guilds. Before killing anyone that comes near the fort, you must ask for the safety chant," I say gripping my beloved sword Sparkles in my holster. Yes Sparkles, and no it's not girly. He's my precious little boy, made of Silver Spider silk and Ogre hearts. Let's just say Shrek wasn't so pleased with the whole ordeal.

"Um... What's the safety chant?" Spike, a large centaur asked making the room release an unpleasant groan. Spike may be a kickass alchemist but the dude is dumber than a stump. And that's insulting to all stumps.

"The chant is, you are my sunshine, my only sunshine. Which they should reply with, you make me happy when skies are red. If not you have full authorization to eliminate any hostiles, including NPCs' and civilians," I reply and crack my fingers that were shrouded in enchanted rings. Boosting my health, stamina and magic.

I was sat on a large pedal stood, with my elbows placed on a large oak table with a map of Requiem spread atop. The map itself was massive covering the whole table supported by rips and stains giving it a unique personality. Requiem is a massive landmass; and kinda looks how Earth used to look when it was still in its Pangea form, with all the continents connected.

Around me stood only a small part of my massive guild the Blood Root guild; the second most powerful guild in all of Requiem. With over 10,000 members we were defiantly a force to be reckoned with. That is of course if you're III, my mortal enemy. But enough about that goon, let me give y'all a little insight about Requiem.

Requiem is the mystical land within the online game Nerve with millions of people worldwide playing daily. Large castle like forts are scattered across the land. Forts can be taken by any guild at any time, and a guild can have more than one fort at a time. For a guild to capture a fort they must hit the flag that sits in the middle of each fort around 50-200 times with any type of weapon, magic, or even fist. Over all there are 2,000 forts and my guild usually controls around 800 forts per day.

Forts aren't the only thing to do in Requiem. Large PVP zones, cites, towns and villages litter the landscape home to millions of NPCs' and other civilian players. The largest city being Sinsiarc where people come together to socialize, buy and sell their goods or challenge each other to duels at the Battle Arena.

In Nerve players are allowed to pick from 10 different spices: Wood Elf, Dark Elf, Centaur, Human, Werewolf, Vampire, Hobbit, Fairy, Troll, and Giant. Each race carries a unique specialty like, Wood Elves are great at archery, Centaurs and Vampires are masters of alchemy and so on. When I joined Nerve many years ago I chose the species Werewolf giving me advanced senses, and allowing me to shift into a large black wolf to take out large numbers of enemies. Not many new players choose Werewolf since it's the second most difficult class; next to Human. But once you master it, it's all smooth sailing and easy kills.

In game I'm known as Ataraxia the second best player on the world- wide leaderboard. Of course the number one spot has been taken by III for years, but this year is my year to turn everything around.

"Now...Does everyone understand?" I question looking around the medium sized room. Everyone nodded their heads before dispersing to their posts. Leaving only me and my co- leader Zayaz. He was a Dark Elf with black hair and skin, and has red blood eyes. He specializes in Dark Magic and is a smart, quiet man. But the most trustworthy person I had in my guild.

"Sir I believe he will attack tonight," Zayaz said from my right. I nodded as determination filled my body. Tonight will be the night I end of his reign.

"Send a messenger to Azelea Fort. Were gonna need more allies," I say sternly. Zayaz nodded before walking out of the large stone archway and disappearing into the night. Standing from my stool I make my way over to the small fireplace that was tucked into the corner watching as the flames danced and the heat hit my cheeks.
