Annabelle's P.O.V
Niall had texted me while Katie and I were going back home. He had told me about hanging out at a park that was near Nando's at around 5 tomorrow. I thought it would be fun so I was going to bring a picnic basket. Once Katie and I had arrived back home, I told her about the text and she was freaking out! She was telling me about how he must like me if he still wanted to meet up with me. I, on the other hand, told her that we were just hanging out and having a picnic. The next day when it was almost time for the picnic, I started packing all the food and drinks and also got dressed in some pink shorts, my fav tank top, and some flats as well as putting my hair up in a ponytail and adding some music note earrings to my look. I grabbed the basket and my phone and started leaving while Katie said goodbye.
Niall's P.O.V
Yes! Today was the day! I was going to go on a picnic with Annabelle. It was almost time so I got dressed into a tshirt, shorts, and some Nikes. I got my phone and got into my car to go and meet Annabelle at the park. I arrived and saw Annabelle putting out a blanket on the grass near a big oak tree. She looked lovely in her beautiful outfit! She saw me look at her so she waved at me and I waved back. I walked over to where she was and once I got there, we started un-packing the basket. Once we were taking out the last container of food, our hands touched. She moved her hand away and said sorry. I looked over at her and told her that it was okay. She smiled and we continued to set up our picnic. We talked for a bit about each other's life and she told me about her moving here to go to a University here along with her friend Katie. She also told me about her old boyfriend and how he had cheated on her for some other girl. Without even thinking, I said, " If I was your boyfriend, I'd never do something like that..."
Annabelle's P.O.V
Did he just say what I think he said? Did he say that if he was my boyfriend, he wouldn't cheat on me? Oh my goodness! Does that mean he likes me or is he just being nice? Oh Annabelle say something! I went out of my faze and said "Awww thanks! That's sweet!". He looked relived when I said that as if he was worried about what my reaction would be. We started eating the food which was very tasty if I do say so myself. I had also brought a soccer ball so that we could play around with it since I knew he liked to play soccer because I'm a directioner so I know this stuff Hehe. I asked him, " Do you want to go play around with this soccer ball?". He swallowed the food he had been eating and answered, "Sure! But can you play with those shoes?". I looked down at my shoes, looked back up at Niall, and said, "Well I can't play that well even without the shoes so it won't make a difference Haha". He chuckled and we went off and started kicking around the ball. I was having a difficult time kicking the ball good but it was still super fun! My shoe did fall off one time and it made Niall burst into laughter! i started hopping over to get my shoe, but Niall got it for me and helped me put it back on. I thanked him and we just smiled at each other for a while until I turned away as I felt my cheeks get warm. He noticed and I could see that he was smiling at me. After our little moment, we just kept playing with the soccer ball. Once it got dark, we packed up and he helped me put the things into my car. I said, "This was soooo much fun! Maybe we should hang out again,". He smiled and said, "Yea! That would be great!". He gave me a hug and said goodbye, walking off to his car. Once I got home, I told Katie about our whole picnic and everything that happened. She was jumping around in her chair and she finally exclaimed, "OMFG ANNABELLE! He obviously likes you! GURLLL NIALL FREAKIN' HORAN LIKES YOU!". I told her, "Katie, he could just have tried to be nice and I just don't think I should get a boyfriend because of my ex and plus we came here to meet them and to go to our University. Katie looked at me, sighed, and said, "Alright Annabelle but I know that he must like you so don't even try to deny it". I laughed and we both got ready for bed. Before I fell asleep, I got a text from Niall that said, "Goodnight Annabelle. Sweet dreams xxx". I smiled and replied to him saying, "Same to you Niall! 'Night! xoxo". Before I closed my eyes, I thought "Hmmm... maybe I do like Niall....". I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep with that thought in my head..
