Alibaba's golden eyes blink open slowly, his surroundings blurred.

"Where-ugh my head..." The golden-haired boy sat up, a head on his forehead, wincing in pain. "Damn, my head hurts..." He cursed, shaking his head. Alibaba wrinkled his eyebrows painfully, looking at his unknown surroundings.

The room was strangely regal and fancy. The bed was large and plush, reminding Alibaba of his room back when he was the third prince of Balbadd. The comforter was silky and and cool to the touch. There was a large painting on the wall in front of him, painted by one of Leam's most popular artists that the golden-haired boy couldn't recall the name of.

"Where am I...?" Alibaba tilted his head in confusion. "What happened..? I can't remember anything that happened before I blacked out..." There was a knock on the door. Quickly, Alibaba laid back down, pulling the covers over him. He heard footsteps as two people stepped inside the room.

"Hakuei, how is he doing?" He heard a deep, masculine voice that was faintly familiar. And the name, Hakuei. Alibaba was certain he had heard the name before, but couldn't remember where.

"He should be waking up soon, Brother," A woman replied. "His condition is stable and his wounds are healing,"

"Good. Stay here and let me know when he awakens," The man orders. "And do not let him know of our identities,"

"As you wish," The woman known as Hakuei sits down and the man walks out of the room. Alibaba hears the door shut and waits, heart thumping loudly in his chest.

"I know you're awake,"She says. Slowly, the golden-haired boy opens his eyes and looks at her.

"Who are you?" He asks. "And where am I?"

"My name is Hakuei," She smiled. Her hair was long and black and she had dark gray-blue eyes. "My older brother found you half dead and brought you here,"

"Half-dead?" Alibaba sits up.

"When you were brought here, you'd lost quite a lot of blood from the wound on your side," Hakuei answered.

"Oh," The golden-haired boy looked down, touching his side. It had been bandaged up nicely. "Th-Thank you..." He mumbled, slightly embarrassed.

"Of course!" She smiles. "Would you like anything to eat or drink?" Hakuei waves towards the cup of water and bread on the table.

"No...thank you..." Alibaba looked at her, confused. "Have we met before?"

"No, I don't believe so,"Hakuei tilted her head. "Perhaps you've just seen someone similar,"

"I see..." Alibaba answered. He sighed. "Don't you need to tell your brother that I'm awake?"

"Don't be so serious," She laughed. "A few minutes to talk never hurt anybody, my brother's too strict for his own good,"

"Hakuei-san, why did your brother save a stranger like me?" The golden-haired boy asked. "I can't remember what happened after I was attacked..."

"Mm...Brother acts tough and cool but he's not so bad," Hakuei laughed. "You DO remember your own name, right?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, I never introduced myself," Alibaba held out a hand. "My name's Alibaba, I'm a gladiator at the Leam Colosseum," Hakuei took his hand and shook it.

"Nice to meet you, Alibaba-dono," She smiled. "Do you remember why you were attacked or what happened to you?"

"Um...I was out at the markets...and then...there was a gang..." Alibaba frowned, trying to remember what he had encountered. "They wanted...revenge for defeating a monster at the Colosseum...and then they tried to steal...Amon!!" He looked around frantically.

"What's wrong?"

"M-My knife!" Alibaba looked at her, worried. "Where's my knife?!!" He threw the covers aside and got off the bed, about to take a step. Hakuei held him back.

"Alibaba-dono, please calm down!" She cried frantically. "You're injured!"

"I-I need to find my knife! Wh-Where is it?" Alibaba took a step forward clumsily before falling over, only to find himself in the arms of a very tall person.

"B-Brother!" Hakuei exclaimed, bowing quickly.

"What's with all the ruckus?" The man demanded. "I thought I told you to inform me when he awoke?"

"I'm very sorry, Brother," Hakuei bowed her head.

"Where's my knife?!" Alibaba stared intently, and a little angrily, at the tall man.

"Don't worry, Alibaba-dono, your knife and belongings are all in the drawer," Hakuei answered. Desperately, Alibaba broke free from the man's grasp and stumbled toward the drawer, only to find himself falling, and once again caught by Hakuei's brother.

"Don't be in such a rush, you're injured, you idiot," The man said sternly.

"Sh-Shut up..." Alibaba looked away, his face, flushed. He stumbled forward slowly before reaching the drawer and grabbing his knife. "Thank god..." He fell to his knees, sighing in relief.

"Alibaba-dono, are you alright?"

"Y-Yeah...thanks, Hakuei-san..."

"Do you uh..need help?" She looked away awkwardly.

"Shorty," Alibaba turned to glare at the tall man whom he had yet to uncover the identity of.

"Don't call me that, I'm not short," The golden-haired boy attempted to push himself up from the ground, supporting himself with the drawer.

"What's your name, Shorty?" The man smirked.

"It's Alibaba, so quit calling me Shorty," Alibaba glared at the man, standing up shakily.

"Fine, but you alright there, Shaky?"

"Sh-Shut up, I'm quite alright, thank you very much," He took a few steps forward before tripping again.

"Alibaba-dono! Are you okay?" Hakuei asked worriedly, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Yeah, thanks, Hakuei-san," He stood up again and stumbled out the door.

"Where're you going?" The man asked, wearing an expressionless mask.

"I've gotta get back or else my friend'll get mad," Alibaba responded, not turning around. "Sorry for the trouble, thanks for saving me," He began to search for the exit.

"S-Sir, are you alright?" A maid by the front door asked nervously.

"Yeah, thanks," The golden-haired boy answered, pushing the door open, and walking into the streets of the city. "I've gotta get back to the Colosseum...Toto and Master will be furious..."

"Alibaba-dono!!" Hakuei called, running after him. "Your fish!!" She held up his bag.

"Oh! It's fine, please keep them as my thanks," He smiled. "Then, take care, Hakuei-san," And with that, Alibaba headed back to the Colosseum to be lectured by Toto about how he needed to be more responsible and watch the time.
--------------------------------------------
"Hakuei, has he left?"

"Yes, Brother," Hakuei handed him the bag of fish.

"What's this?"

"A thank you present." She smiled. "From Alibaba-dono."

"Fish? What a weirdo..." He grumbled. Hakuei laughed.

"It's strange to see you so interested in someone, Kouen-sama,"

"Is it?"

"Quite. You're usually all history and power and anger," Hakuei giggled.

"Is that wrong?"

"Not at all, My King,"

"Good."
