Hihi

Been a bit under the weather for the past couple days, so this might not be my most top tier writing... Hope you enjoy it still, though! Better things to come in the future I'm sure lol

I don't have much to say today, so happy reading!!

There it was, and here we were.

Water 7.

The hours spent in preparation of our arrival had passed as if they were minutes – Half of them spent trying to catch up on rest as per Chopper's insistence – But I'd never been more glad of such a short passage of time than I was now.

It was dazzling, unfeasibly beautiful as the ship's velocity dragged; The closer we inched towards the island, the slower we lagged, a lack of wind flow that subtly petered out under the shadows of such a monumental piece of architecture. I was thankful for the slowed approach, holding my breath as wide eyes absorbed the world-wonder that was set before us.

Save for the clusters of light-bleached red roofs joined by white-plastered houses, the entire island could be perceived as an enormous fountain. There was so much water, well suited for its title. Surges of the liquid cascaded down from the very top of the island's design, where the water was distributed via numerous waterfalls, and the flow followed down one, two, three tiers; Each enormous bowl decorated with ornate inscriptions carved into the stone. You could see the patterns glistening in the mist even from so far down below, sparkling like silver in the sun beams. At the base of this upper-structure the water continued along its path, where slanted, stretching rows streamed down towards the very bottom of Water 7, finally returning to the vastness of the ocean with even more waterfalls. The grand wall in front of us, where the water inevitably joined itself through the dark tunnels embedded within it, was labeled with multiple gates. Each bore a respective number, and were at least five-to-ten times the size of the Going Merry. Attached to their substructure was a ramp, and I questioned if that was where they released the ships that were made within the city's impenetrable fortification.

Once again, I was enamoured by everything that this world had to offer. Skypiea was fantastical in itself, completely unheard of back where I originated – Here was something that bordered on the laws of both reality and fantasy, something that I could only wonder if feasible back where I'd come from.

The sun burns bright, reflections of it bouncing off of foamy-spray to form rainbows in its wake, and I'm reminded that in the end, it didn't really matter. I wasn't in my old world anymore, was I?

"Woah, nobody told me that it was gonna be this cool!" Luffy gasped, lost for breath under the majesty of the island, just as I was – Though that would never stop his excitement from bleeding to the surface, never one to hold back. "Check that thing out... I didn't know they made fountains that big!"

I shake my head, still dumbfounded as a laugh huffs from my lips, absorbing his happiness like a drug in my amazed-haze. "Neither did I... It's amazing."

"That's nuts! I've never seen anything like it– It's definitely an industrial city!" Usopp yelps – teeth clenched in anxious tension as the fountain loomed intimidatingly overhead – as per his character.

"No wonder... And I thought the sea train was a big deal!" Sanji mutters gruffly, engrossed by the sight before him.

"Wow, that is a lot of water!" Chopper notes, hanging over the rail beside me with a wide smile. "Where does it all come from?"
