Sleep took over and sooner than I thought I dozed off with Paradise by my side. Although I was rudely awakened by a voice calling my name.
"Cass, get up."
A few more minutes.
"Cass."
No.
"Get up." The voice continued.
A moan escaped my lips, refusing to leave my bed.
"Get up."
Will you stop at nothing?
"Cass!"
No.
"You leave me no choice."
Oh really?
"Cassandra Gertrude Evans."
My eyes shot open at the horror of hearing my full name spoken out loud.
"Say those three names together, in combination within the same sentence ever again, and I'll have your head." I cursed grabbing the hem of Ryan's crewneck pulling him inches away from my face.
There's nothing I hated more than being threatened with my own sad excuse of a name.
"We're going to a club," He shot his arms up in defense.
"What does that have to do with me?" I say, dropping backwards in my bed once again, sinking in the sheets.
"You're coming with us."
You've got to be kidding me.
"In your wet dreams." I confide.
"Yes, but that's not the point." I thought I heard him say before pulling the sheets from on top of me and dragging me out bed.
"What would I do at a club?" I wined as he made me stand straight.
"What people who go to clubs do."
"That would be?"
He arched his eyebrow not realizing how serious I was right now. "Get drunk, get crazy, get laid."
"Are you trying to convince me or scare me away?"
"You promised not to be a buzz kill." He pouted, releasing my arms.
"And I won't as long I stay in this room." I didn't understand why the sudden urge in wanting me to go to a club. They've all ended in disaster. Sam and Ryan were lucky to not have witnessed it and I'll leave it at that.
"Please." He begged.
I groaned, causing a smile to appear from the corners of his mouth. "I don't guarantee I'll enjoy it, but fine."
"I'll take what I can get." He confessed. "Surely the new and improved Cass has something sexy to wear at a club so come on. We leave in 15."
And with that, he was gone.
I pulled out the large suitcase from underneath my bed, unzipping it on the floor. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in as I started rejecting each piece of clothing my eyes laid on.
No. No. No. Nope. Uh- no.
This was hopeless.
I was about to give up when I spotted a piece of black fabric shoved into the corner. I pulled it out reveling a small plain black dress.
Hm, this will do.
I slipped out of my clothes from earlier, tossing it in an unknown corner. Even when I'm away from home, it feels as if I never left. Switching out of my current bra, I spotted my black lacy push-up. I've never worn it but I figured I should put it to use. I then grabbed the dress, putting it underneath my feet, pulling it up. The dress' length was about mid-thighs. I grabbed the straps and put them over my shoulders.
Deciding to do my make up, I applied coverup, eyeliner and two coats of mascara. I then put on red lipstick before grabbing my black red-bottoms. Forgetting about my hair, I pulled out my bun letting my hair fall to my shoulders, then brushed it out, causing loose natural curls to appear and sprayed a bit of hairspray. I stared at my reflection in the full length mirror. Satisfied, I grabbed my silver clutch, transferring my ID, money, etc.
"Cass, are you ready?" Sam's voice muffled from behind my door.
"Yeah, I'm coming!" I walked over to Paradise, kissing her fur. "If I'm not back by 1, call the cops." I whispered in her ear, walking away. I clicked open the door only to have 3 boys stare at me as if they were unconscious.
Sam was just leaving my door while Ryan was in the kitchen and Calvin was on the couch. They were all dressed up in jeans and a dress shirt. Calvin had a sports coat over his white shirt, but Sam and Ryan did not. I'm guessing their loss of words was my cue to say something.
"Guys?"
"-who are you and what have you done with my best friend?" Sam interrupted. Calvin seemed just as shocked. I don't know why, I would most likely consider us enemies right now.
"You look great, Cass." Ryan said, putting his hand on waist, lightly.
"Nice try, Ry." I smirked, removing his hand. "Are we going or what?"
With that said, everyone shuffled over to the door.
I pressed the button for the elevator. It dinged signaling that the doors were about to open. I got in first and it was like I could feel their eyes burning through my skin. "Would you guys quit it, you're making me feel like a freak." I played with my fingers trying not to make eye contact.
"A hot freak." Ryan joked, elbowing Sam which caused everyone to laugh, except me.
I regret this already.
Cassandra Gertrude Evans was going clubbing.
