Elliot took Adrian to a village, quite far from where they were before. The place was covered in glowing plants as you touch them with old trees, homes carved inside them. All the people were scattered around the place, they all had different tails and cat ears. Lucky Adrian loved cats, or he'd be in a living hell!
He kept looking around and finally spoke.
"What a beautiful village. What's this place called?" He asked, still in amazement of how beautiful it was.
"Welcome to Neverwhere."
What a strange name.
He took his hand again and guided him to the King of Neverwhere
"Where're we going?" He let go of his hand but kept running.
"Hey, wait up!" He shouted and stumbled to catch up to him but straight up face planted into another puddle of mud. He grunted. "Is this place made of mud!?" He complained.
Another howl was heard, close by the village. It went silent and everyone hid in their homes or in a cave. The only person still visible was Adrian. He looked around, startled and shaky, not knowing if he should move or not.
A quiet whispering female voice spoke to him "quick, come with me!" She grabbed his hand and lead him to her home, safe from the enemy outside.
The people who came in uninvited had dog ears and a big fluffy tail. The leader was wielding a long spear with patterns carved on it.

"Who are they--" she quickly covered his mouth for him to shut up. The guessing leader of the dog people turned and looked straight at where Adrian and the other girl was. She quickly ducked as Adrian copied what she did and whispered quietly to her and repeated what he was saying "who are they?"
"Tch, you must be new here," she whispered quietly to him.
"We're having a war with the canines. But from the looks of it, they've killed most of us or abducted them." She continued, trying to be as quiet as she can.
It went silent as they started moving on.
Few...
Suddenly, a scream was heard in the distance from this village.
"Oh god, please no... Not another one." She prayed, scared and sad.
"They found one of us." She continued as you could hear the blade of a sword was wielded out and..killed somebody.
Maybe it was the end of us too.
