I'm Afraid Of One Thing, And That Is Falling For You

*Tess POV*

"Good morning ma" I said walking downstairs.

"Morning honey, how'd you sleep?" She asked giving me a bowl of cereal.

"Fine, where's dad?" I asked.

"He's in the garage"

"Ok. And where's Xander"

"He's probably still sleeping" I nodded and continued to eat my cereal. When I finished I went upstairs and brushed my teeth. I pulled a brush through my knotted bed head. I picked out a pair of shorts, a white tank top, and a pair Toms. I walked back downstairs. I saw my dad had entered the kitchen.

"Hey daddio" I said giving him a hug.

"Hey baby doll" he said.

"You taking the day off today?" I asked him.

"No I'm going in late and then I have cap duty"

A/N: Cap duty is where you go to work semi late and work REALLY late

"Alright, should I go wake Xander, we're gonna be late" I said.

"Yes please" my mom said packing our lunches. I ran upstairs and into his room. Of course he was asleep.

"Get up you lazy ass!" I yelled into his ear. His eyes shot up and he yelled, "I DIDN'T DO IT" I laughed.

"Dude you gotta get ready, schools gonna start" I said pushing him off of the bed.

"Ow! Fine, just get out" he laughed pushing me out.

"He's up" I say walking back into the kitchen. I grabbed my lunch and put it in my bag. I plug my iPod in and put in my earbuds. I looked over to the stairs and saw Xander dragging himself down the stairs.

"Ready to go?" I asked sarcastically.

"Meh"

"Here's your lunch" my mom said handing him his lunch.

"Thank you mother" he said kissing the top of her head.

"Better eat fast we gotta go" I said.

"Eh I'll skip, I can't afford to be late again"

"Ok lego" I said hopping up. I ran to the door and walked out. I grabbed my board out of the bushes (my mom doesn't want me to ride. She thinks its not lady like). I rode down the streets with Xander to my left.

"So when are you and Melanie going on vacation?" I asked him.

"It's not a vacation, it's an anniversary get away"

"So a vacation" I said.

"Yeah, we're leaving after we graduate. So like a month"

"Aww, where are you going? Bahamas, skiing, NYC, WHERE?!"

"We're going to Arizona"

"Jealous, she is really lucky"

"Yeah, she is" he joked. We went through the gates.

"Hey guys" I said riding up to my small group of friends.

"Hey, Tess" my friend Emily said.

"Morning Tess" my other friend Gerard said.

"Where's your brother taking Melanie on vacation?" My friend Danny said.

"They're going to Arizona when schools over"

"Aww that's adorable" my other friend Kaiden said.

"You're always going to be a hopeless romantic, aren't you" I joked.
