Sometimes I wonder what my life would be like if I 'fit in'. Like what would it be like to not be in trouble all the time and to party and have a lot of friends... Hi, I'm Ali Grace and I just moved to this little town. My friends? I don't have any... Well except my horse Diamond. I didn't want to move but when dad died we just couldn't stay at the old house. So here we are...
**RING RING** my phones goes off and Diamond spooks and slides to a stop. I on the other hand fly over her head and land in the dirt. I look up and her and huff "really Diamond?" I pick up my phone. "Yes mom." I say as I stand back up. "Honey you can't spend all your time with that horse you need to make some real friends!" I just roll my eyes. "Mom, Diamond is my real friend" it's silent for a second. "You start at your new school tomorrow." She says slowly. "Okay mom that's nice. I got to go, bye" I hurry and hang up. I grab Diamond and take her to the barn, I heard talking I know some other people keep their horses at the same barn as me but I didn't think anyone would be here late at night. I walked in and tied my horse up. I walked around to the second stall which was Diamonds. I heard more talking, more like laughing. Two boys walked in, one was tall and had a little muscle with brown hair and green eyes. I looked out of the corner of my eye and saw that he was wearing sneakers, while the other guy was a little shorter had blonde hair and blue eyes and wore boots.
I turned and walked over to Diamond, unsaddled her and put her in her stall. I walked towards the door when the two boys were just walking in. "Whoa, sorry." The shorter one said and the taller one just stared. I looked up and smiled " it's okay". "Hey your the new girl right?" The short one said. I nodded. "I'm Cody and this is my friend Blake" I looked at the tall one and examined him. He wore a black leather jacket jeans and of course sneakers. I smiled looked at Blake and said "nice boots" he looked down at his shoes and back at me. "Yeah I don't do the country thing like my friend Cody here." I nodded and shrugged. "Guess your just missing out." Cody laughed and said "I could barley get him out of the car because he is scared of horses." Blake smacked him and yelled "am not!!!!!!!" I just laughed and rolled my eyes. "It's okay we all have our fears" he opened his mouth to say something but just couldn't find the words. "Well I gotta get going but I'll see you around." I walked past them and towards the road. Blake turned and yelled. "I don't believe you gave me your name" I just smiled and looked over my shoulder. "You would be correct." I laughed and walked home.
When I got home I took my boots off and collapsed on my bed. I looked at the clock which said 11:30. I got ready for bed and pulled the blankets over me. As soon as I was about to fall asleep someone barged in my room. "ALI!!" My brother screamed I looked over and glared at him. He always does this. "What!" I yell back. "What are you doing?" He asks with a innocent face. I roll my eyes and point to the door. "Out!" He looks at me and walks out. Sometimes I worry about that boy.
The next morning I rolled out of bed and got ready for school. I went into the kitchen and got some breakfast, it was 6:30. "Mom, I'm going to the barn and then to school." I yell walking out the door. I didn't get a response but she will figure it out if she didn't hear me. When I finally got to the barn I saw Cody. "Good morning" I smiled. He turned looking kinda surprised. "What?" I asked cautiously. "Nothing." He says with a smile."good morning to you to" I just laughed and walked to Diamond gave her her food and walked out of the barn.
I don't really like to drive. I walk or ride my horse everywhere I go. I was walking to school when a car pulled up to me, I stopped and looked down surprised at who I saw."Blake?" I ask looking in the window. "Get in I'm taking you to school." He says grinning. I took a step back and said, "Sorry, I don't get into cars with strangers." He held his hand over his heart. " uh I'm not a stranger" I laugh. " oh yeah? Then what's my first name?" He looks at me and says "You wouldn't tell me remember?" "Well I guess that means we are strangers after all" he just sits there. I smile and roll my eyes and climb in to the car. "I'm kidding, you really should learn to take a joke." He finally smiled and started the car. "So what is your name?" He asks. "I'm Ali" he smiles and starts to drive and without another word we were off to school.
