Chapter 10

(Nikki's POV)

I knew damn well Seth wasnt talking to his grandmother, I'm not that stupid. I mean seriously, I dont think a person in the right mind would say, "Listen up bitch, you can shut the fuck up about Nicole because I'm pretty sure she's better than your Jessica Rabbit looking ass." to their Grandma. Why would he lie to me? I'm very sure he's not cheating on me though, because he defended me but, who could he have been talking to? Oh whatever, I should just forget about this. I trust Seth, so so much. He wouldnt break that trust, right? I was applying my everyday makeup when I suddenly got a text from Jonathan. Ugh, he cant meet up for breakfast now? He's lucky I'm free this whole day, today. I agreed to do lunch with him because I'm seriously oh so desperate to know what he has to tell me. I have a feeling it'll change everything. I then scroll through my missed calls and I see a whole shit load from John. Wow. I never heard my phone ring though. Hmm, my phone was probably silent. And Seth & I were probably having sex while he was frantically calling. John probably thinks I'm ignoring him. I saw that he left a single message. "Nicole, please talk to me. I've made a huge mistake. I love you and I would never just hurt you intentionally. I had a reason.. but it was stupid and I shouldnt have done anything foolish like cheat on you. I know you're mad, and you have every single right to. But please, hear me out. Again, I love you so much." I have such mixed emotions after hearing that message. To be completely honest, if I had heard him call, I would have picked up. I still love John, a whole lot. I wish I didnt though. I need to be loyal to Seth because that's all he has been to me, unlike John. Maybe it's a good thing that he & I are broken up. I just need to move on. Just then, Seth comes out, but I dont even notice.

"Nikki?" I dont turn around.

"Yo Nikks, what's wrong?" I still dont turn around.

"STEPHANIE NICOLE GARCIA COLACE DO YOU HEAR ME?" That's when I snapped back into reality.

"Oh, uh what? Huh, hi."

"Nikki." He said as he sat down on the bed looking at me straight in the eye.

"What's wrong Princess?" He says as he lays his hand on mine and gives it a tight, but comforting, loving squeeze. Oh gosh, I just melt to pieces whenever he calls me 'Princess'.

"It's just, it's well. It's John.." I said as his face turned to a frown. He stood up from the bed and leaned against the wall.

"John? What did he do this time? I swear, I will bea-"

"No, no Seth. He didnt really do anything particularly wrong but, recently he did leave a message that well, left me confused.."

"Let me hear it.."

"Well, okay then." I say as I pull out my phone and play the message.

Nicole, please talk to me. I've made a huge mistake. I love you and I would never just hurt you intentionally. I looked up at Seth who looked like he wanted to murder someone.

"Uh.. Seth, you ok?"

"Does it look like I'm okay? Do you not see what he's trying to do Nikks? I mean come on, he's trying so hard to weasel his way into your life again. I fucking hope you're not thinking of getting back together with him!" he yelled. My mouth literally dropped to the floor. I've never seen this rude, aggressive side to Seth. Well, on screen of course, and in bed... but never like this. I looked at the floor trying very hard not to cry. No one likes to be yelled at. I felt like such a little kid right now. My eyes were getting blurrier by the second and eventually a tear escaped from my right eye. Followed by more and more and more tears. Flowing carelessly down my face, like a river. Once Seth realized he really did hurt me, he quickly came over to me, knelt down and hugged me.
