As I walked along the woodsy trail I've known all my life, I stopped
I stopped and listened to the chickadees and woodpeckers in around me in disguise
I listened to the leaves falling and gently landing on the cool ground
I tasted the autumn air and felt it coursing though my lungs
I stopped and let all of the stress and worry in my life leave my body and flow deep into the moist ground
At that moment I realized I was late for a meeting
But I just stopped.
And I just listened.
